Ok I know this has been asked time and time again under many random topics but quite simply I have a blood angels army and only a angels of death codex.
What other reading materials do I need to get going???? Obviously the blood angels codex is needed but I've been told off to wait as a new one way get released this year sometime.

You will need need the rule book and that is it. Unless you want to play Stronghold Assault and Escalation.
What version of the Blood Angle codex do you have? Just making sure. It's only a rumour that BA will get a new codex this year.
So rule book 1st. Codex 2nd. FAQ 3rd. FAQs are on the GW site, just in case you didn't know.

Can't help you there, buddy. If only there was some sort of book of rules that might teach you how to play.

The rule book is called just that??? Rule book??? The codex is what I don't have yet I just have an old angels of death which covers blood angels and dark angels I think as a supplement book, I guess I will need that one too then the 6th edition BA book.
Will I need the space marine book???

Is the Angels of Death codex you have the combined Blood Angels and Dark Angels Codex? If so, it's a few editions out of date - as such there will be new units and things that aren't in the book (Sanguinary guard etc.) and points costs and upgrades will be different.
You'll need a Rulebook, as others have pointed out, but I'd recommend gettng the smaller version (that comes with the starter set Dark Vengeance) since it's significantly cheaper if you look on sites like eBay and contains all the main rules (the extra pages in the larger version are background and other information).
As far as actually learning the rules, I'd suggest finding someone to teach you. Just trying to pick it up from the book can be difficult, and some small-scale skirmishes (one or two units a side) are great for getting the basics down. If you have a GW store near you, they'd love to show you (although mind the sales-mongering).
Here's a link to the GW FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) page, as there are some Errata: http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/content/article.jsp?categoryId=1000018&pIndex=1&aId=3000006&multiPageMode=true&start=2

The Rulebook is indeed called just that - Warhammer 40,000: Rulebook. Kerikhaos provided a link to it on the GW site so you can see the cover for the 6th edition.
You won't need the Space Marine codex, as that covers the 'standard' chapters like Ultramarines, Salamanders etc. Some chapters get their own codexes - Blood Angels, Dark Angels, Space Wolves each get their own and you don't need to combine it with the 'generic' SM codex.

The current Blood Angels book is from 5th edition. You won't need the Space Marine codex to play it, but be warned that it isn't as strong as it was in the edition it was written due to a number of changes in how assaults work.
Anyways, you'll need that and the current rulebook (I'd get the cheapest version you can find unless you want all the hobby and fluff stuff).

No you will not need the SM codex. There is 3 versions of the rule book. The mini rule book that you get with Dark Vegence, a great start I would say. Then again, I love DA.
There is the BRB, or the Big Rule Book, which has rules and extra fluff, it's hard back and huge.
Then there is the small rule book which just has the rules.
And the 4th, I guess is the iPad, version. Just rules only.

Codexes govern what you can take in an army of that specific faction, there are no points costs or army rules in the rule book (just all the other rules you need to play the game). The Marine codex is newer than the Blood Angels one, has Chapter Tactics specific to the First Founding chapters (and Black Templar) in it. It also has some vehicles that aren't in the BA codex, and Centurions (which seem to be a real "love it or hate it" kind of model).

Ok I guess I will then the rule book and the BA codex.
I prefer the big rule book so I have everything in one place including the fluff bits
Right now to find out where the cheapest place to get them are 60 pounds for books sounds nuts to me

Buy a copy of the Dark Vengeance Miniature rulebook off ebay along with a used copy of the current Blood Angels Codex. Spend as little as possible (prefurably giving GW as little as possible for their crapshow rules).
Why? Because rumors point to at "6.5e" style update soon for the core rules and Blood Angels are due for a new codex this year, too. So don't go dumping $80+ when you can get by with used stuff for about $35 and play the waiting game.
Edit: Also, all the fluff in the BRB can be found for free on one of the multiple Warhammer 40k wikis. You're not missing much, don't spend the extra money.

Ok I've checked the FAQ on the GW site and the blood angels PDF is in polish??. So don't know what to do about that. I've just had a message from my mate telling me he can email me the PDF version of the rule book and the blood angels codex for free as he has the digital version of these items
It's a relief because I don't wanna spend on something which may change in a weeks time

There is an English FAQ near the page too. Their alphabetical so unless it's missing on the page you're looking at it should be there.

They are all listed on the same page, so the English version is the just under the Rulebook FAQ right at the top. Also, direct linky: http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_CustomProductCatalog/m3440037a_Blood_Angels_v1.4_September_13.pdf
