That is...um....wow. Words fail me. I don't think I could possibly find a high enough compliment for it. Truly, truly amazing work. I love your addition of all the steps, it really shows how much work went into it, instead of just the finished product. You should be incredibly pleased with yourself.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Okay, so I just saw (and played against) this guy in person yesterday.
One thing that really doesn't come across from the pics is the size of him, he's truly monstrous. Pretty much as big as a deffdread.
The rest of the army looks sweet too, it'd be good to get some pics of everything when you're done with the finishing touches and some of the other projects that you mentioned.
Great stuff.

that was a good game! I will add further picks of the rest of the arly once I've been able to add some finishing touches. have had to speed paint a fair bit to get it ready to bring over to blighty.

Wow, That is without a doubt the best looking warboss I've seen and I love the chainsword finger powa klaw.

Do you happen to have any tutorials on how to get greenstuff to look that nice? I just got back into the hobby after a 4 year break and I love kitbashing and customizing my minis but I have no experience with the green stuff.

Nope, this project was my first time using greenstuff in any sort of way other than filling gaps in models or doing tidying.

I did read up extensively before starting, some things that I did use that you could incorporate are:

I did some sculpting under water in warm water. Keeping the greenstuff wet whilst working is key.

I only acquired some silicon sculpting tools after finishing the model and doing some small details, but I would recommend getting them. Get the firm ones, I got the medium firm and they are somewhat soft for greenstuff.

Thanks!

He's a good deal bigger than Ghaz, despite not wearing MegaArmor...

Hmm, there's an idea, perhaps I need a MegaArmor version of him!

You'll have to do that now. Although what would you base his mega armour around? Def Dread/Defiler type pieces? Needs to be monstrous!

Really cool looking Boss. Definitely need to get some comparison pictures up!

Given how much I love your own 'commissar' warboss from back in the day, that's high praise indeed, thank you!

If you want a meganob version of him you should try to make a large plate "vest" type thing that just magnetizes over him to make him look bulkier.

But, if you did that, you couldnt field him AND the meganob version

Thanks for the compliments. I'm thinking of writing up some rules for him as well, the current Weirdboy rules aren't really up to snuff imo. Oh and giving him Daemonology so he can summon Ork Zombies and give them daemon rules (plaguebears seems logical).

Hope so, back then my two biggest peeves were necrons and grey knights, it was a cointoss as to which went up there but MSS irritated me so much the tinboyz won the 'honor'...
