Let's say a Nob Biker suffers a to hit result - how many saves does he get? Does he get:

5 + Jink save plus
4 + exhaust cloud armour save from warbike plus
5 ++ feel no pain from Painboy plus
5 + armour save if in cover?

Can I roll for all of these or must I select the best possible save and roll for that? Help please!

You take your best save, followed by a Feel No Pain unless that has been disallowed.

In the case of a AP5/6/- attack, you'd take your 4+ armour, or 4+ cover from Exhaust Cloud (as they are the same, it doesn't really matter)

If they are firing an AP4 or lower weapon, you'd take your 4+ Cover from Exhaust Cloud.

If they are firing an AP4 or lower weapon, which also ignores cover, you'd take you 5+ Invulnerable Save.

Feel No Pain isn't a "save", it's a Special Rule that activates after failing a save. As such, you can take you Feel No Pain after failing the appropriate Save. The Feel No Pain is only discounted if the wound inflicts Instant Death (Strength is double or more the Models Toughness) or has some special exception that specifically discounts Feel No Pain.

I hope this made sense.

Cover, Armour and Invulnerable are all Saves. You only get one instance of your best Save on any given wound. FNP is an whole different thing.

EDIT2: I had a moment. Can't Turbo Boost the Exhaust Cloud. Derp.

I want to save 4+ cover not 3+ cover if you turbo-boosted, you get a 5+ jink save, which improves to 4+ if you turbo-boost (Standard for bikes as per the BRB). However ork bikers also have a permament 4+ cover save from 'exhaust cloud' which isn't a jink save so wouldn't be affected by turbo-boosting.

That's more of a Make Da Call question

You can't get 3+ cover from turbo-boosting nob bikers. They're not skilled riders.

You get 4+ cover from Exhaust cloud - it's better than 5+ jink and equals 4+ jink if you turbo-boost.

You have 4+ armor and can get 5++ invuln

You can get 5+ fnp.


So, for example:
You're shot with a weapon that doesn't ignore cover - you take a 4+ cover save and than 5+ fnp if allowed
You're shot with a weapon that ignores cover but is ap5 or worse - you take a 4+ armorsave and than 5+ fnp if allowed
You're shot with a weapon that ignores cover, is ap4 or better - you take a 5++ invul save if you have one and than 5+ fnp if allowed

Here's hoping that Exhaust Cloud becomes Shrouded! +2 to 5+ Jink would be awesome. 2+ save when Turbo-Boosting! Or maybe if you TB you leave the cloud behind for balance sake?

That moment when you realize 21 pt White Scars have better saves for less than half the cost...

And half the wounds, a third of the attacks, a weaker gun....

I'm just hoping that nob bikes get a boost and not nerfed. They're still one of the best things in the ork codex (which isn't saying much) but they're really aging.
