So I recently got my warlord titan back from my school. I had to leave it there for a while because I made it for my art exam.
when I got it back, it was more or less ruined and many parts were missing, so I salvaged the parts that are in good condition and rebuilt it.
I have given it a quake cannon and a melta cannon for it's arm weapons, but what carapace mounts should I give it to better compliment these?

Also, what is the latest book with rules for the warlord?

Apocalypse. The first book.

Yeah, it's a bit out of date, and it seems that GW don't want to release rules for things it doesn't make anymore.

Even then, with the number of D shots it puts out, if you take it at face value (and undergo the old rule of thumb that one SP=3 HP), you get one of the most absurdly powerful units to have ever graced 40k.

I say one of because there's rules for Imperator titans, which can throw down a whopping 36 D-strength pie-plates and have all the HP and all the void shields.

You appear to have taken the loss of a Warlord Titan pretty well...
I'd be a bit bummed since it must have taken you a while to do...
What mark did you get for it?

Last I knew the Warlord Titan was only in the first Apocalypse rulebook. I may be wrong but that's all I know on how to find it...
Frankly Plasma Annihilators just sound like fun.

Yep.

Speaking of warlord titans, I have a sneaking suspicion that FW might be nearing the manufacturing capacity to construct a few. Which hopefully means we would see some proper rules for them.

This may take 10 years.

I think there's a rule for the Imperators that reads as follows.

"Do you (the enemy of the player with the Imperator) have a flier with D-strength guns? Y/N? If Yes, continue to play, if No; immediately concede to save everyone's time and your dignity."

but if I get the first book, then GW might release another apoc book since they seem to be taking an interest in lords of war and are releasing a new book every week

It's unlikely they'll release another book for Apocalypse that will out-date the rules on the titans. They aren't a huge part of 40k as it is. That said, that is the risk you take when you buy a rulebook for any army. At least your model will still be valid, plenty of people have* to buy new armies when a codex comes out.

*Stretching the definition of have. They don't have to but then again no one has to do anything so I guess it's moot.

Don't worry, by the looks of it, GW doesn't care about rules for anything unless they or FW makes it.

They got didn't update the rules for chaos baneblade variants (no models), they got rid of some of the nid SC (no models), and they apparently got rid of those free Apoc Dataslates that contained rules for some SHV and formations, including the Imperator (no models).

I got an A for the model, but my overall grade was a C because my book got lost 3 days before they marked all the work and I had do redo it all in that time.
it wasn't a complete loss, I got it back, it was just slightly battered. so now I can happily spend my time working on it with better skills and a better understanding of what weapons would be suitable for a war machine of such majesty.
(I originally gave it lascannons for arms and heavy bolters for carapace mounts )

B-But, Forging a Narrative

Here's a narrative for ya.

After arriving on the battlefield, constantly having to suffer through the complaints of the effect of earthquakes; Chaos Lord Smokesinyourface Mattresstagripper, infamous throughout the galaxy for his heinous acts of rearranging the shelf stock at local supermarkets, destroying the symmetry of the shelves and undoing hours of work by underpaid Emperor-Mart employees, and his infamous parking of his spartan assault tank on the yellow line; was ready to do more damage to the Imperium.

His latest act would bring this world to it's knees! For he planned to steal all the left socks from the dry-cleaners, thus forcing everyone to have to wear right socks on both feet! With such discomfort, none of the servants of the corpse god could oppose his plans! Truly he was the epitome of the black legion, and he had gathered his terrible warband all for this one purpose. But then the seismographs started to go haywire as the "thoom, thoom, thoom" became louder and more apparent with each passing moment.

Poking his head out of his tank, the helmeted gaze of the Chaos Lord activated the zoom function on his visor, sweeping his gaze around. For a moment, he thought he saw a mountain that wasn't there before, quite a few mountains actually. But he would not be so fortunate. For the Adeptus Mechanicus had sent in the fearsome Legio Jules, a mighty titan legion whose motto "Gothic motherfrakkers, do you speak it?" Had been the deathknell of many a xenos or heretic.

But that wasn't the odd thing...what was the odd-thing though, is that they replaced their typical massive arm cannons with enormous nozzles with hoses that tapered miles and miles back. If he had to guess, all the way back to the lake. He looked around and saw a sign written in the local dialect "Adepticus Mechanicus super-soaker tournament grounds" and then turned behind him to see another group of titans behind him.

He now knew what it was like to only have a water pistol in a hose-fight. With a terrified "OH SHI-" his warband was well and truly...

*puts on shades* hosed.
