Hey y'all.

I have a weird problem with my vallejo game color col grey. The paint separates ON the model. I will apply the paint to the model and when it is dry it is a weird swirly mess like when paint dries on your palette that has separated. It is even worse if I use my matte medium/flow aid/water mix. It does this with straight water also. It doesn't seem to matter how little or much I thin it, nor how much I shake the paint. Anyone else have this problem or have some advice for me?

You might have got a naff batch. It happens from time to time.

Does it help if you apply a few thin coats? My current batch of Cold Grey dries like separated paint in the palette, but I can still get an even coat after hitting it a few times.

Agree with gohkm..

Although it seems kinda weird that the paint seperates on the model.. Usually you can see that it already separated in the palette... Can you upload a pic?

Got milk?

All I can say about painting is that VMC tastes much better than VMA... especially black...

PM me if you are interested in Commission work.

Is it only on specific models? Rather than the paint being off, what are you using for primer? What else is on the model?

It looks most like the paint separated (which is what these paints usually do)

Just over krylon primer which is what I always use.

It doesn't matter if it's over primer or over another layer of paint. It separates on the model.

sing your life: by these paints do you mean vallejo game color in general?
