I think I might walk up to games workshop ask them if I can have a competetive eldar list and give him a taste of his own medicine if you know what I mean.

This is purely for me I run a solid khorne army with 2 bezerker units in two land raiders one with khan and a hell drake for support.

My brother tends to run a wraith knight supported by either a super upgraded solitaire or lots of wave serpents with dire avengers.
His tactics are pretty much distract me with the wraith knight than pull out dire avengers and blast me. He then swoops in with a crimson hunter and takes out my hell drake at range.

Any tips?

thanks in advance.

Are you versed in the use of reserves? Assault vehicles do allow you to assault out of their wreckage. Also, a faster force weapon might help w wraithknights. I like the hand of darkness from black legion. Other fun tricks I have learned are nurgle infested mutilators and obliterators dropping in to attack and draw fire at a loe cost. I use the Eye of night to break up mechdar.

I really, really wouldn't want to leave your capacity to win games in the hands of GW.

Mm yes just buy this new limited edition codex, limited edition dice, tape measure for 200 before we start, then buy the 700 piece paint set and a thousand cultists plus 20 limited edition cases for the low price of a second mortgage.
That's what GW would do, don't ever rely on the. For competitive gameplay only "beer and pretzels" armies

Semi realistic response now that I've talked to my local CSM opponent. Max out a team of Khornate Berzerkers, and give them some upgrades (I forgot the names) to get them up to S: 8. Add Kharn for rerolls, punch the Knight (you'll win.) And now you have indestructible land raiders with multimeltas to herd the Serpents around.

If he plays Serpent spam against family, you are fully justified in putting Tobasco Sauce in his toothpaste.

You're also justified in adding 2 more Helldrakes.

Is this an older or younger brother? I have a guess.

Spoiler:
older

Two Heldrakes is the tasteful limit for friendly games...so is he friendly?

With two land raiders, you have four TL lascannons, which is essentially a lascannon havoc team. You may want to consider getting into a stand off until it is safer for you to disembark.

3 wave = 1 drake + friendly game
5 wave = 2 drake = semi competitive
7 wave = 3 drakes = competitive
any more + apocalypse or cheating...

(this is not concluded if the person needs to bring +/- 1 dependent on the list. example mechdar, fill heavy take a few fast min 2 (vyper or crimson), and then the rest can be serpents without him being mean.)

2000 points (not optimum)
Spiritseer - 70
6 squads of Dire Avengers (1260)
- 5 DA, WS (normal upgrades)
3 squads of Howling Banshees (660)
- 5 HB, WS (normal upgrades)

Not apocalypse, not cheating.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

I meant cheating as being an donkey-cave, but your not supposed to say it in this site.

Just learned it changed my words... cool.

He can be friendly. He is usually friendly during a game

Seriously, then, the poster who said, "Switch armies" gave the best advice in this thread.

I remember when an donkey-cave friend I had talked me into playing the Chinese in a modern warfare-type game. I'd fought him to stand-stills, slight victories, and slight losses with my crappy tanks and crappy troopers.

We switched sides and I tabled him in two turns, first game.

I then went to the website on the company that made it and accused them of all sorts of racism- mostly because active defense systems were on Chinese tanks before Western tanks and I had no such options and because we had no laser blinders on our Type-99 tanks, despite it being a technological edge the Chinese make use of that western armies don't. Clearly, every assumption that was made about what some armies had and others didn't was based on brown and yellow people not being as awesome as white people.

Unless he brings a Revenant Titan, which has 4x S D large blasts, and can move 36" every turn...

The new IG orders with a psyker work pretty well against serpents. Prescience + ignore cover on HWS eat serpents nicely. Now if only I could do something about 2+ rerolls and invulns. If that gak could just get errata'd into the reality my problems with Eldar would be gone.

Unless you brought a reaver, getting into a Titan fight with the Eldar is inadvisable.
