I have a 2000 points ork army but I want something different (and not as big) so I thought: what's the opposite of over a hundred boyz with no armour and terrible weapons? Grey knights! So yeah, here is a 1500 points army list I came up with.

Lord kaldor draigo=275 points

vindicare assassin=145 points

5 paladins with a master-crafted psylencer, a master-crafted incinerator, 4 master-crafted force swords, 2 master-crafted stormbolters, a warding stave and an apothecary=365 points

5 paladins with a master-crafted psycannon, 4 master-crafted force swords, 3 master-crafted stormbolters, a warding stave and an apothecary=390 points

Nemesis dreadknight with heavy incinerator, heavy psycannon, greatsword and personal teleporter=300 points

what do you guys think? Let me know any improvements I should make

Sounds like a fun list but 13 models, even 13 tough models, will not last long against today's armies.

So what do you suggest?

Well depends, are you intending just for fun games, or a take all commers tournament style list?

Your list is fine if its for fun, Id run one like that for a laugh to see how it did, but wouldnt be serious, the Draigowing is a relic of 5th edition.

There are a few things that stick out to me:

Psilencers are outclassed by Psycannons on every level, it's worth the points to take them instead. The Heavy psycannon on the DK is, however, worthless - he doesn't need to be 300pts(!), and the incinerator/sword with a teleporter works just fine.

Master-crafting everything is a massive point sink, and you can almost fit in another full squad for the amount of points you have tied up in master crafted storm bolters and force weapons. You'd be better off with psybolt ammo for those.

Having the Paladins split up into two 5 man squads each with an apothecary is just... so many extra points, make them a 10 man unit with one apothecary and a brotherhood banner and 4 psycannons and you're still ahead of where you were points-wise and have a shootier and more durable unit. Heck, hand them some psybolt ammo too. To fill the second troop spot you can toss in a Solodin or two with a hammer to sit on backfield objectives.

Without a transport they're also incredibly slow (you can use Grand Strategy to give them scout though), so you may want to think about dropping the Vindicare for an interceptor squad so you can send them and the DK 30" into your enemies face on Turn 1 to buy Draigo and pals some time to move into position without getting obliterated.

Like Wren said, Draigowing is not as invincible as it used to be but can still be a lot of fun. If you plan on running this against super-competitive armies you're gonna have a bad time.

Kaldor draigo=275 points

Vindicare assassin=145 points

10 paladins with an apothecary, master-crafted incinerator, master-crafted psylencer, one master-crafted sword and a warding stave=680 points

1 paladin with a master-crafted psycannon and psybolt ammunition=100 points

Dreadknight with heavy incinerator, heavy psycannon, greatsword and personal teleporter=300 points

how is that? It will only be used at my local gw store so nothing competative and no tournaments. The idea is that dreadknigt will use its teleporter to et behind enemy lines quickly and start reeking havoc until the 10 paladins and draigo make it across the board to join him. All the while the single paladin and the vindicare assassin will pick off enemies from a distance whilst up in a tower or behind some ruins but the paladin will move up if need be. Is this an improvement? I know you said get rid of the assassin but he is just too fun, and the dreadknight is worth 300 the way I use him from my experience of 600 points games I have been playing as I dont have much and proxy marines for some guys until I am sure on a list and buy stuff. Anyway, is this any better? Bearing in mind I dont want to spend too muh because gw is way too expensive in my opinion.

No need for psybolt on the solodin, it doesnt affect psycannons, though a solodin cant have a psycannon anyways.

Psylencers are still pretty bad though, I'd swap it for a psycannon using the points you save taking the psy ammo from the solodin

And psy ammo for the 10 man squad

Also wouldnt suggest two guns on the DK, the incinerator and psycannon both serve different purposes

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Here, if this is possible try this

Draigo - 275

Vindicare - 145 pts

Paladins x10: 2x Psycannons (MC) 2x Incinerators, 4 swords, 3 hammers, 3 halberds, psybolt ammo - 705 points

Paladin X1: Hammer - 55 pts

Paladin x 1: Hammer - 55 pts

Dreadknight - Teleporter, incinerator, greatsword - 260 pts

1495/1500

How about if I change out the solodin for a techmarine with a sword and change the mc psylencer for psybolt ammo, and then to get 2 troops I split the 10 man squad? Then the 2 squads can cover more of the board and the techmarine can bolster the ruins to give the assassin better cover and go with one squad of paladins. I might try that list but I thought the dk had to take 2 guns

No the DK doesnt actually have to take any guns, or any weapons. Bare bones DK with two fists is the inital points then you add on up to two different weapons and one melee weapon

And a techmarine to bolster ruins for just one model, and no vehicles, a bit of a waste

Ok then. I like your list but are 2 solodins really necessary? I wpuwould change the 10 man and 2 solodins in to 2 squads of 6. That way i can cover more of the board and take on multiple squads at a time. Would it be a good idea to deepstrike one squad of six in?

Feel free to take multiple squads of paladins, just don't put an apothecary in a squad smaller than 10 pallies or it's a huge waste of points. That's why I was suggesting that you change it, just to make better use of all the special rules.
