Custodians or something like that? In particular during the Horus Heresy. I think some of them even boarded Horus's barge with the emperor, but i havent seen any pics of them, and was wondering if anyone could tell me what color their armor was. I know the emperor's was gold, and guess they could have some in it too but no idea. If anyone has a pic i would love it. Many thanks.

Adeptus Custodes. I'm 99% sure it was gold.

Search for "Adeptus Custodes" on google. You'll get images and info.

Gold with red crests, they wield force halberds (I think) with storm bolters on the end of them.

Anyone have any idea about the Horus's troops? Were they just traitor space marines or were there more hideous mutated chaos things or chaos marines?

Trying to visualize what that event was like.

Mostly SM, though many had warped and twisted, supported by half the Imperial Army and Navy (so regular dudes, probably some mutations but not many)... and the other Fallen Primarchs who already looked kinda effed up, just moreso.

Only a third of the Imperial Army actually.

Dark Angles. Could be wrong here, but I thought they were the Emperors body guards before the Legions were made.

*edit* Now after reading the link that was given, I am not sure where I read it from. I am sure I read somewhere that DA were the Emperors guard before the Legions where formed. Now was that in print or in most cases somewhere on the forums.

Custodes wore Gold and Red armor pre-golden throne, Gold and Black post golden throne (in mourning for the Emperor's fall)
