Okay let's take this point by point. Please don't take offense, it's not your fault that C:BA is full of horrible units.

Assault terminators don't need a chaplain to smash face, but they DO need TH/SS to get that 3++ save to not die like slime.

Make sure this goes in a drop pod for maximum pain.

Everything labeled "DC" is garbage. I know it sucks, but you need to leave the DC at home. They cost extra, don't score, and have no extra durability. DC dread is AV 12, and blood talons are hyper-overrated.

Not enough troops. Add more. Preferably in metal boxes. Don't put unwieldy weapons on lone characters with no durability. They'll get challenged out and killed.

Better choice now that Vendettas have been price-hiked. The assault cannons is usually better than the lascannon, though.

Devs are the worst heavy support in the whole book. MLs are garbage in 6th ed. Don't use this squad.

Dump the flamers and go pure dakka. Add a storm bolter for 12 shots while moving 6". Profit.

With BA, go TL heavy flamer or las/plas. Every time. We have fast vehicles. Use them.

Fair enough, I enjoy using the death company, bringing the in with the stormraven just tears stuff up. What list would you suggest then?

The problem with that is the following: DC aboard a Stormraven can't assault till turn 3 at the soonest. Furthermore, if they stay on board the turn the Raven arrives, they must a) grav chute out and open themselves up to shooting b) stay on board and risk the raven being shot down (which it will with DC on board). You have an enormously expensive unit on board a flying death trap.

I break BA lists down into a few types: ASM jumper lists, mech lists, Stormraven spam and fear circuses. There really isn't much else you can do with BA. Which one would you like to hear about?

ASM list please

ASM lists come in two main varieties: pure ASM jumper lists and ASM jumper/drop pod hybrids.

Pure ASM jumper lists are build around large numbers of scoring FNP ASM marines, often 60 marines. They also usually feature dual level 1 libbies for SoS support and multiple sanguinary priests to distribute FNP. Support elements for this kind of list are usually mobile, so bikes and attack bikes synergize very well, since they can all benefit from FNP.

Hybrid drop/jumper lists are more aggressive. This lists feature jumper ASM as the scoring units just like the above list, but have considerably fewer in order to make room for drop pod fragnoughts, drop pod Sternguard, and anything else that goes well in a drop pod. This list frequently drops and ASM rushes one flank of the opponent. Sternguards are frequently accompanied by Corbulo.
