Love the old, battered look. Nice restrained use of verdigris there too.

Final part's up HERE

I, too, like how worn and beaten it looks. The whole thing is very dark and gritty.

The only "fault" I can say is that with how dark, decrepit, and rotten everything looks...that looks like a brand new aethersail they just bought for there raider.

Everything looks amazing though.

It's got a very Firefly Reaver-y kind of vibe to it that I'm digging. The whole The Hills Have Eyes look isn't one I'm accustomed to seeing on Dark Eldar, but for a group that serves the covens in lower Commorragh, it's fitting.

Thanks all I am kicking myself about the sail. Far too clean. But, I have two more Raiders and a Ravager to paint, so lesson learned.

That red is STUNNING.

What shade(s) did you use to get such a smooth finish?

I like this much better than the usual Disney's TRON Dark Eldar, will probably try something like this if I ever get around to getting a DE army going like I plan to every few months.

I can't see any green, what are you talking about?

Model looks like tabletop quality to me. Would be fun to play against.

Have you thought about powders? I recently discovered powders and think they are fantastic for weathering. You can simply order some £3 pastels from amazon/ebay, grind them up when they arrive and apply with something to bind them on (i use a tamiya product). Then just a protective coat over the top.

For the copper rust effect obviously a greeny/blue powder would be suitable.

Favourite Game: When your Warboss on bike wrecks 3 vehicles simply by HoW - especially when his bike is a custom monowheel.
