Due to some issues with the venue for this event we've decided to postpone it.

AWESOME.
Quick question: What do the missions for this tournament look like? For instance, is it straight outta the book? Preset terrain? Simultaneous missions like in the BAO, or NOVA format?
And if there are Primary/Secondary, does whoever win the primary win, or are each worth a certain number of VP's(like BAO). For instance, if I win primary, and my opponent wins secondary(assuming there are two simultaneous missions in play, if not...skip this!) then how is the winner determined?
Thanks btw rob, I seriously can't wait for this!

I think the golden throne people are holding off on posting missions until the 7th edition gets released and the dust from that settles.
Last few years, they did book missions so I imagine that will probably be the same this year.

We've used book scenarios in the past, but we won't be doing that this year. We're working with the overall goal of creating an experience that's fun for everyone, which for my money means scenarios that don't favor any individual armies but rather are primarily decided based on play skill.
We're looking seriously at the concepts put forward in the mission catalog, which we've been a proponent of for a while, and the Forge the Narrative mission pack.
We plan to release a playtest mission pack at the end of April and follow up with a finalized version in mid-May.

Awesome! I've used some of the missions in the independant missions catalog and must say they work pretty well. I haven't tried the FTN missions, but I just took a quick look and they look fun and balanced.
Let's see if my nondeathstar army can do well with mostly DE as it's backbone

After hearing the sad news that I couldn't go to San Diego's Broadside Bash, I'm glad another tournament is in motion in SoCal!

Me too! I don't think there are enough major events in California, but soCal in particular seems to get the short end of the stick.
