Decided it was time for OT to have a nice thread where we can all clap our hands and be a little happy What better way than to recognize that 20 years ago today, South Africa ended Apartheid. While things there are still hard for a country struggling with poverty and crime, its good to remember that things do get better around the world even when we're not sure they'll get better for us. And Freedom goes great with a side helping of music;

Sadly I was too young in 1994 to even know where South Africa was on a map.

I did watch his 1998 Speech for a political science class in my junior year however;




A shame he was a year and some odd months short of being able to see the 20th Anniversary himself.
