So there is a RTT (2250 double FOC) coming up next weekend and usually I like to be as competitive as possible with my lists but I wanted a little change of pace from my usual Daemons, centstar lists. I have been a Blood Angels player for years and back in 5th edition I used to run a heavy Drop Dread list something like 8 dreads in a 1850 game due to their ability to take dreads in the Elite, troop, and heavy slot.

Long story short I really just wanted to use dreads again and 2250 isn't really my favorite point level so I figured id have fun at this tournament and see if I could cause people as much trouble as possible with the knowledge that winning might not be in my future unless luck is forever in my favor.

Clan Raukaan: Allows any dreadnought variant to be taken in the heavy as well as the original elite choice without the need of a Master of the Forge.

Again keep in mind this is supposed to be a fun list that might cause some issues for unsuspecting players.

Game plan is to start 1 librarian on the field hidden from complete line of sight and preferably in a building or under something to avoid ordinance weapons. Everything else will be in reserves since it is either forced to (i.e. Ravens or anything in a pod as a dedicated transport.) This leaves my 2 librarian hqs of which 50% has to start on the table so non Warlord librarian will be hiding. Remember also that if my opponent goes first and somehow kills the Librarian that tabling doesn't happen until the end of a game turn not player turn so 6 of my pods will be coming on at some point during turn 1.

Clan Raukaan:

Hq:
-Librarian --(Warlord)-- (not sure what powers I want... Maybe Psychic shriek?) Can't cast any blessings or maledictions the turn he comes in from the pod.
-Librarian (not sure what powers I want... Maybe Psychic shriek?)

Elite:
-Regular Dread (Multi-Melta/ Heavy Flamer) Pod
-Regular Dread (Multi-Melta/ Heavy Flamer) Pod
-Regular Dread (Multi-Melta/ Heavy Flamer) Pod

Troop:
-Tac Squad (Sgt. Melta Bomb) Pod
-Tac Squad (Sgt. Melta Bomb) Pod
-Tac Squad (Sgt. Melta Bomb) Pod
-Tac Squad (Sgt. Melta Bomb) Pod
-Tac Squad (Plain Jane) Pod

Heavy Support:
-Iron Clad (Meltagun/ Heavy Flamer) Pod
-Iron Clad (Meltagun/ Heavy Flamer) Pod
-Iron Clad (Meltagun/ Heavy Flamer) Pod
-Storm Raven (Assault Cannon/ Multi-Melta)
-Storm Raven (Assault Cannon/ Multi-Melta)
-Storm Raven (Lascannon/ Multi-Melta)

2250 exactly

The other option is

Clan Raukaan:

HQ:
-Master of the Forge with "the ironstone" gives friendly vehicles within 6" of the bearer the 4+ IWND
-Libby

Elite:
-Regular Dread (Multi-Melta/ Heavy Flamer) Pod
-Regular Dread (Multi-Melta/ Heavy Flamer) Pod

Troop:
-Tac Squad (Sgt. Melta Bomb) Pod
-Tac Squad (Plain Jane) Pod
-Tac Squad (Plain Jane) Pod
-Tac Squad (Plain Jane) Pod
-Tac Squad (Plain Jane) Pod

Fast Attack:
-Assault Squad (2 flamers, and power sword) Pod

Heavy Support:
-Iron Clad (Meltagun/ Heavy Flamer) Pod
-Iron Clad (Meltagun/ Heavy Flamer) Pod
-Iron Clad (Meltagun/ Heavy Flamer) Pod
-Storm Raven (Assault Cannon/ Multi-Melta)
-Storm Raven (Assault Cannon/ Multi-Melta)
-Storm Raven (Lascannon/ Multi-Melta)

2250 exactly

Thoughts?

I like this list.

I think a lot of people will struggle against AV13 dreads especially if they are right in your face on turn 1.

Three storm ravens pack quite a punch as well. The shear amount of armor will cause some issues from people.

Please let us know how it goes!

Yeah I am looking forward to going and just having fun and still trying to be a little competitive but for the most part just want to take an unsuspecting list.
