Got some used Vespids and all but two models have the antennas broken off the heads. Aside from the gotos like Puppetswar or maxmini, does any company make good 28mm insect heads?

PS for the crowd that moans "use the search" its still broken/down.

I had looked for a while for alternative vespid heads, and had not really found any decent ones out there.

Reaper I think makes some "insect" type minis, but you would have to cut off the heads.

Unfortunately, the antenna's break off easily.

I don't think I have any spares, but I will check my bits box to make sure.

Do you have the pieces and a pin vice? I would try pining them back on, they look thick enough for that.

Most of the antenna is thick enough but it tapers down pretty extremely and that small point is where it attaches to the head. we are talking probably less than half a millimeter.

Yeah, I looked into pinning my vespid heads this way, but it just was not feasible - and I have pinned a lot of things.

Go to reapermini, and do a search on insect. You might find some minis you like there that you can take the heads from.

best of luck!.

Don't restrict yourself to insect heads (unless that's what you've definitely decided on, for fluff or aesthetic reasons) - many alien/animal heads could be suitable.
