So I was thinking that it may be fun to list some of the best combinations... not limited to the IG codex, have to have some allies!! haha

So Pask with a Punisher is pretty awesome. I was able to take out 4 of a 5 man Termie squad with one round of shooting from Pask... wish I would have made him twin linked!

Wyvern with servo skulls! I mean it is one thing to get to reroll to hit and to wound... but 1D6 less scatter is just amazing! Add LOS and you should rarely scatter!!

What do you have!

In the name of the Emperor I will smite you with my Fu**, GW took that away too!

Ohh my. How much is the 'standard' inquisitor setup?

It doesn't work quite as well as you suggest. The blasts have to be within 12" of the skull to get the reduced scatter, yet they disappear if the enemy get within 6". They are more likely going to force the enemy into certain movements, either staying outside 12" or going straight for 6". Still powerful, but there are some restrictions.

I haven't tried it yet, but I think dubble Master of the fleet can be a killer.

My friend plays a Drop pod army with plenty of deep strikes.
You cant do much about the first wave, but he will get his second wave so much later.

With those guys Im hoping to ignore anti air all together. If the planes arrive at turn 4 I have had plenty of time to mop up the rest of his army.
If they dont play with any reserves at all, you can use it to improve your own rolls with deepstriking stormtroopers or something.

When everything's on the table, just put him in the front of the unit as cannon fodder.

That almost sounds like real tactics! I love the new guard, its like, "we have incoming fighters, should we..."

1. get a bunch of guys to shoot wildly in the air
2. Get our own expensive fighter to shoot it down
3. Call the Navy, thats their job anyways!

I started taking the inquisitor to stop armies from Infiltrating a little to close. This allows my gun line to cause a lot more damage. I do understand that they quickly get taken out, but I believe for 3 points per servo skull, it is worth it.

I also use Scions at times, and have been able to use the benefit of the servos when deep striking.

The Wyvern... not matter how much I dislike the concept, is a nice piece of anti-infantry artillery. I have ripped through MEQ players like slicing through butter. I have even put the hurt on some deep striking termies!

Dark Angels Librarian with Power Field Generator 95pts

Have him follow your Pask Punisher with a 10 man squad of boys and you will have a very durable tank on the move.

For the troops I use a 5 man sniper scout squad with camo. 70pts

Sure you could possibly do the same thing with a PP but for the extra 20pts you ensure you get the invul every game and you don't have to make a leadership test to use it.

Also he has a psychic hood meaning with relic armor on your tanks it will have a 4+ Deny the Witch as well. (Standard 6+, 5+ for being a psyker, 4+ for Relic armor) To also head off any debate on this:
-Relic armor- Adamantium will - A unit that contains one model with this rule gains +1 to DtW.
-Psychic Hood- pg68 ... the wearer of the hood can attempt to DtW in their stead, as if he were in that unit.

So all in all a prescienced AV14 squadron with a 4+ invul/DtW while the libby is protected by a fearless 10 man squad with 4+ invuls. The only downside is that if the enemy gets within 3" they get the 4+ invul too.

Grab a model and see how easy it is to hide behind a Russ. Can't kill what you can't see. (Save Barrage and Blasts of course)

40k is as exciting as riding a pony, which doesn't sound very exciting.......

But the pony is 300 feet tall and covered in CHAINSAWS!
