Subject: Decent 1500pt Necron List

Loyal Necron Lychguard

Hey guys, I've recently stumbled upon a good list for my Necrons, and so far I haven't lost with it, even in the league I'm playing in at my local store. But I'm always up for suggestions as to how I could make it better.
My overall strategy is to be very mobile, and use as many tough necron vehicles as I can.
HQ
Necron Overlord (Mindshackle Scarabs, Sempiternal Weave, Phase Shifter, Res Orb, Warscythe) - 340pts
-Royal Court (Harbringer of the Storm, Harbringer of Despair, both no upgrades)
-Command Barge (Gauss Cannon)
Troops
10x Immortals (Tesla) - 270pts
-Night Scythe
9x Warriors - 232pts
-Ghost Ark
9x Warriors - 232pts
-Ghost Ark
Fast Attack
6x Wraiths (3x Whip Coils) - 240pts
Heavy Support
Annihilation Barge (Tesla Cannon) - 90pts
Annihilation Barge (Gauss Cannon) - 90pts
Any feedback would be helpful. I've tried most things in my codex, but you guys might know something I don't.

At 1500 points, I feel like you are missing a troop choice. Also, I would also switch from TIMs to GIMs. Gauss is better at the close range you will be dropping your guys in at, and the AP4 really does good work in the current meta.
Think about switching from a sad-tek to a lance-tek. 36 inches is great in the 24 inch army and he can roll that 6 to hit which can snipe out an enemy character quite handily.
Your OL is overtooled. The CCB gives him a 2+ save so the weave is wasted points. Also, he is a lone unit, so his orb will be mostly wasted. I suggest dropping both items, and spending the points on finding a reserved unit of warriors that can walk on turn two.

Well, Ghost Arks are too slow for my liking. If they work for you, fine.
I'd think about replacing them with Night Scythes.

Thanks for the feedback, I'll certainly make an altered list and try it out, see how it works and such. Automatically Appended Next Post: wuestenfux wrote:Well, Ghost Arks are too slow for my liking. If they work for you, fine.

Eh, Night scythes are cool, but not as tough, especially in league play. Unless you're running a crapload (I don't wanna spend that kind of money), then they basically get butchered by tau/aegis lines.

doomsday arks are good choices. when remaining stationary, they drop large blasts with range 72" and AP 1.
