So I am buying my new army DA and my mind wonders but I have been crunching numbers to make it completely unfathomable. I am doing 1st company 2nd company 3rd company and 10th company. So I need to ask how many bags do you think I will need to fit it all in?

Also let it be known that Astra Militarium is next with a full armored company and foot slogging company and their bags. What do you think?

Do you mean to transport them all?

Erm...

That's going to really heavily depend on the kind of bags, and what you're going to put them in...

Besides what company’s bag you go with, what kind of support units you have will make a huge difference. Basic troops pack quite tightly. Even GW’s case, which is a horribly inefficient use of foam and space, can hold over 100 troops. Which is enough to move a company of marines. But once you start adding things like transports and other vehicles, it gets crazy fast.

No mater how you slice it, you are going to need a lot of space to move that many marines, assuming they are not just bare-bones footsloggers.

Games that apparently involve the entire chapter armoury. The 15 land speeders would be an impressive sight and pretty terrifying if they are typhoons as well...

Yah, that’s going to be a massive stack of foam. I’d head over to KR Multicase or Battlefoam and poke around.

It’s going to set you back a pretty penny, but if you can afford three companies of marines with all the trimmings, I assume you can afford the bags to drag them around with.

Post some pictures when you get it all together, will be a sight to see.

That's cool and all but remember that there is nothing like looking at you pieces and taking pride in that you painted them (even if they don't look the greatest). Here is one of mine as an example!

The dark blue paint didn't come out as I wanted it to but I look at it every day and take pride that it is my paint job!

Or my lazy painting where I get a big brush, and stab all of my models with a mix of three colours until it looks okay.

Sadly no images yet though.

Uh, putting the cart a little before the horse aren't we? By the time you have all those models assembled and painted you'll probably be able to teleport everything to the game store.

Seriously dude. What kind of a question is this? It seems like a little kid asking what kind of cars he's going to buy after he wins 3 super bowls. Let's back things up just a hair and go from there.... you know?

Well. In this verbal stalemate, I feel it is necessary to point out that without some serious number-crunching, and knowledge of what kind of containers you are looking for, harlotrose, we can't actually give you an answer...

Not really sure why you would need enough bags for everything unless you plan on carrying around thousands of dollars worth of miniatures with you. If that's the case, you might just consider hiring an armed guard and renting a van.

Seriously though, you'll probably need something like 2 or 3 Battle Foam XL 1520's which run $200-300 each.
