Well, definitely not. I'll try to adapt my Necron and Eldar armies to the situation.
Not sure what to do with my BA, GK, and DE.

No thanks. I have enough armies and minis. I'll be painting this edition, and probably sitting it out.

Nope. My wallet hurts too much already. I will be interested to see what 7th edition brings however. There's already confirmed Daemonology psychic gubbinz as well as unbound armies. Though tbh if your opponent is comfortable with unbound lists in 6th then who cares about that bit?

I've not going to be starting any new army. Rather I'm don't really want to move on 6th edition into this new edition as it seems.
Might do a Bolt Action force soon.

I won't be signing the 40k suicide pact and giving up the hobby like a lot of the people in here are doing, but I won't be starting a new army either. Orks will get updated soon...probably...and that will keep me occupied for a while as will the eventual Space Wolves update as well.
That said, I have been eyeing up Dark Eldar for the longest while now and I really dig their aesthetics and their playstyle, but I think I'll wait until they get updated as well.

Giving up 40k sounds like a lot like leaving the 40k hobby to me.
The 40k hobby? Then yes, you are correct on that.
The whole encompassing miniature wargaming hobby? More than likely not since most in those post that was not included seemed to go for other games, and there is still a good amount of selection outside of GW.

I am selling excess Warhammer 40k, keeping my Dayglow Wing, a good portion of my SoB (leaving room for the hopeful plastics...), and my Eldar Army in Box + Revenant Titan. I plan to slow grow a Blood Angels army primarily for display purposes because I like them. They just never tickled my gameplay fancy. If for some reason I stick around, I'll make a SM/BA Centurion Star and putz around with that.
My dollars will be going to Cryx, a Baldur based Circle army, Malifaux, and my last few Merovingian models (mainly my French Mech! YEA BOI!).

The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that. |

Um, you go to the trouble to use a phrase like "suicide pact"
and then blame us for examining your post? And besides, it's
a forum. Diction, semantics and emoticons are pretty much all
we have to go by.
To answer the original post, meh. I'm GW's ideal customer. I
spent money on an army years and years ago and continue to
buy things here and there. They don't cater to me.
I'll continue to buy models that I like and stop buying models
for things that I haven't painted for. If I've painted something
for it, I'm allowed to buy more.
New Wood Elves will be purchased, or at least a little of it, and
then if I can be bothered to paint it, there will be more Wood Elves.
I'm painting some Imperial Fists. If I finish, I can buy more.
However, my main focus is Warmachine/Hordes. And there's
plenty there to take up my time.
