Hey folks, so I finished a trio of Killa Kans, and I'd appreciate some C&C.
I noticed various mistakes and clean ups required while uploading these pictures so I will be going back at some point to make some minor corrections.

Death Skulls

Bad Moons

Wow those look good. I love the one looking up like he is asking air support to attack him.

Its like the Joker and Batman pose. Keaton vs Nicholas

How did you do the gore on the claws? That looks great. I'd love to use the technique on my own stuff once in a while.

Looking good! I'd paint/detail the basing material a bit, though.

Uhu glue mixed with GW Blood for the Blood God. I used to use different mixes of paint, but the GW stuff is just an easier shortcut.
Mix the two together, allow it so get to an almos set state, where it has become like gum, then apply with a tooth pick or similar.

Way hay funky! love them gore is great but im no fan of the fresh paint on the rokkits its just too much in comp to the more muted tones else were - fair enough they shouldn't be weathered to hell but a rougher paint job or a few scratches or heavier shading may help tie them in ascetically.

I really don't have any bad critiques. They look great, love the gore effects.

i might have to steal that gore trick. My tau dont need it...period lol...but my orks it would add SO MUCH to almost every character model.

I wanted to paint one of my BW rams to have a splatted Grot against it. I can get the grot on there easy but i never did it because i suck at gore. So stealing that trick lol.

Very fine minis you have there - lots of great little detail all over. Only issue is the basing, I know you stated you like it as it is, but it's borderline cardinal sin to not paint basing material. If unpainted it will always look different (gravel glued on a base) from all the painted stuff (natural vs. unnatural) hence out of place and unfinished. Since this is your minis you can of cause do as you see fit, but I'd suggest you make a test base with the same gravel, give it a wash with a brownish color and then a drybrush with a lightbrown close to the color it has now - and check out the difference.

While the bases look good i'd have to agree, painting them will improve it.

I love basing, but i usually dont give the tiny bases any real detail because it usually either elevates the model dramatically, or its just a solid slab of stone - so i just flock then with patches of sand, and i dont bother coloring the sand in that case.

Any larger base, i paint the sand. While yes natural sand brings that "natural look" it doesnt work that well in the scale. What is sand to us, is rather large rocks to the minis - so painting them to more resemble a patch of chunky rocks makes more sense than sand. Cork plate available at walmart for dirt cheap also add a lot of detail capabilities.

That being said, not sure if i would touch those bases unless you could easily remove the models. I have found it to be rather difficult to paint sand evenly and realistically when theres a damn leg in the way lol.
