I'm feeling this is garbage. (Granted, I"m a fairly new 40k player, and I'm on the verge of starting a fantasy army.)
It's really looking like 40k is getting hit with a new rule book either at the end of this month, or beginning of next month. The 6th ed 40k book has been pulled from GW store shelves, and it's not available right now.

Mostly what I hear for new WHFB rulebook is next summer. It seems odd that they'd throw new rulebook at both sides at the same time, or even around the same time. That's a really stupid thing to do to your playerbase. Granted, most people play one or other, but still

I would guess that the release schedule for the next few months looks like this:

6.5/7th ed. 40k rulebook - june
40k orks - july
fantasy beastmen or brets - august
40k blood angels - sept

Anything after that is just looking at the pattern. 40k imperial release, 40k xenos release, fantasy release, rinse repeat. They did do something weird earlier this year and threw imperial knights at us instead.

Or you could all save yourselves the pain and just play KoW with WHFB minis…..

Or we could continue to play the game that we want to play? Trot on.

Or you could just continue to play the old edition if the new one sucks. I know some people who still play 7th ed fantasy because they like it better. GW can't force you to play the new edition if you don't want to, you just don't get updates.
