Poll
Who is Deadliest?
Is it the mustache-twirling xenos in battlesuits?
Or is it the Typhus-led, trolling horde of rotting dead?
Neither, they kill each other until the end.

Nice report, really like the format.

I think the zombies and the oblits should have been kept at the back of the board to range most of the Tau and definitely 2" apart.

Chaos should have got first blood really, potentially on the pathfinders, then played to hold their objective for a narrow win.

I think this was lost by chaos on objective placement and deployment.

Thanks for sharing enjoyable read.

OK

How did a devilfish jink save against a bloodthirster??

Thanks! True, the player had played aggressively like it was a kill game rather than an objective game.

Bloodthirster swooped in and used its shooting profile lashwhip on it so the jink was viable.

Yeah Chaos deployment was a mess. Target priority too. One unit of oblits should have happily lit up those pathfinders with plasma cannons on Chaos turn 1 and the other should have lascannoned the skyray. Or put all 6 lascannons into the skyray and the Heldrakes would have been able to fly around with relative impunity. Then choosing not to baleflame the marker lights turn 2 was a mistake as well. Marker lights first, people. They're the only thing that makes tau shooting as scary as it is (well buffmander too).

I'll second the frontline mats, though. My club has two, and they're great.

Yea, there were a lot of things that could have been done or changed. A rematch is due!
