So if you dont know I have 100 deathwing terminators. Im working on getting 3 more dreds for a 10:1 (terminators:dreds) ratio. I also have 10 deathwing Knights on the way. I would like a dred for them as well. I was thinking of converting the GK dred knight but its just to dam tall. Other than FW, are there any other options out there?? If possible post a link.

Thanks,

Jason

I know you said no Forgeworld, but the Contemptor Dreadnoughts are incredible models, I have two myself.

I would go with the FW DA dread. Much more fluff accurate than anything else.

What exactly don't you like about the standard dreadnought models? Or you already have the standard ones and want some variety for the next three?

And what were you hoping to arm them with?

It's perhaps a bit dated now, but there is retro Space Crusade Dred which is certainly "alternative". Probably not what you're looking for though.

Spoiler:

There is also the Blood Angel Dred with the furioso front piece that can accommodate pretty much any helmet with a bit of tweaking (that might be more up your street)

That's the venerable dread with some decoration, not a Furioso.

I have 6 various dreds in my collection and 1 EPIC titan(same size as a dred). Looking for something different to walk into the heat of battle with the DW Knights. I would like to have all the dred weapons available but the CCW would be best to look like a mace as this dred is attached to the Knights.

I would also like to not give GW more money.

I like the model but I cant field twin assault cannons.

I would love the model but at 4 inches tall LOS would hurt me.

BTW does anyone have a side by side of a GW dred and GW SM Centurion??

Good news, the space crusade dread can be equipped pretty much however you want it to be. IIRC the stock weapons it came with were TL Heavy bolters on the torso, then missile launcher, heavy conversion beamer, plasma cannon, multi-melta, lascannon, and assault cannon.

It's also super easy to add stock heavy weapons to it as well. I've seen TL auto cannons, chainfists, dreadnought CCW, as well as various modern versions of the weapons it came with. Heck, the one in the picture's assault cannons aren't stock.

There is no Zuul, there is only war!
