I was all prepared to start a LW Infantry Tank Company after I finish off my Grenadier Guards, then I saw the new 8.8cm FlaK37 (Sf) half-tracks and knew I had to at least make a list with them in it.

The things I like about this list is that it gives me an army for the Italian front and most importantly, the bulk of this list can be done with plastic models (only the Nebs and the FlaK37 would need to be in resin/metal).

Maybe get three nebs (1 blister) and take 8-rads over 222's

Those are sweet. But in answer to your question, yes I have. I used my Afrikakorps infantry to create an alternate Afrika Grenadierkompanie from 334. Infanteriedivision just so I could field Marder Is in Tunisia.

I guess I've got a thing for self-propelled AT guns.

I don't like 15mm models. But the design of the Sherman meant I picked allied forces.

Panthers, even though everyone is going Panzer IVs these days, I love me some panthers. They're so modern and sleek.

I was going to do a German Infantry force.....until I spotted the King Tigers lol

Unnecessary distration indeed but well worth the look.

On topic yes. I love reading about Otto Skorzeny and when World of Tanks came out with the M10 Panther I had to have one. Then when BF came out with a list for Skorzeny and M10 Panthers, I placed a rather large order in a got a list with M10 Panthers.

Yup, got in to FoW because of a really cheap box of the awesome LRDG. Never played with them, but those are some seriously cool looking trucks.

Then ended up with a huge italian army because of the bersaglieri army box, gotta love those hats!

And then I ended up with a lot of germans because of my love of all things tiger, especially the weird ones like the sturmtiger, elephant and jagdtiger

I read the DORA free .pdf....Had to create the force...

It's not really the model inspired me, so much as the story

Yes my grenadier army LOL infantry has always been my favorite model type in 15mm tho.

It's because of 15mm infantry I have started games such as Age of Eagles. Theirs nothing cooler to a history nerd then a fully painted Imperial Guard regiment marching across the table. Even tho I play British LOL

Ok, I am back.I read this better this time.Not Flames of war but i am getting started on a 30k army.THe new Tech adept preists by FW are what did it for me.Especially the new tech on the skimmer.
what is worst is that i have been on a 5 yr. Hiatus of 40k since the previous edition rule set stunk.I guess i am die hard fan of the 4th edition rules,After playing since first edition the ruleset wasin my opinion was the best and were not broken. I just got mad after my Stormtrooper Inq. Army got the shaft.

I made a list in addition to my panzer lehr army when I saw the wirbelwind, picked up the only book that had them in it at the time.

For 40k I started dark eldar when I saw the tantalus on FW.
