Currently building 20 marines, 5 bikers, 2 rhinos, looking for some input on this list before I buy my next batch of models.

Want to field as much power armor as possible, painting up my army to represent the Black Legion without using the supplement. I put the combi bolter and 1 ccw with the CSM squad because I had 5 points remaining and thought it would suit the group Id have on objectives. My last list was lacking in scoring units, though I don't know if four squads of CSM is overkill at 1500, or if I should get a squad of cultist and buff up my remaining groups. Chaos Lord goes with the biker squad with Icon of Wrath.Id love to fit in a squad of Zerkers in a Land Raider but don't know if they're worth it.

Zerkers and a land raider together not really worth the points.
I see its a good khorne army with a lot of ccw's around.
If it was me I'd get rid of one rhino maybe and get a las cannon for a squad. Then it would sit on home objective with Havocs.
Overall its an awesome list bro.
And I applaud you for taking a defense line, they are absolutely valuable in chaos marine armies.

I don't know much about CSM, but I'd likely build a list with a Cultist swarm or two, who can camp on home objectives, that frees up the heavy hitters for offense. I have heard about a Helbrute+ Cultist formation, that sounds kinda cool, it gives Fearless to the cultists making for a fine tarpit. I don't know if Helbrute is worth it to take though..

You've got lots of troops, mobility, and anti-armor. Should do alright. Kind of like a blob IG list but with power armor and 40 or 50 less models. Normally you wouldn't have to worry about 2+ saves but you lack the model count. Might be a worry but its not too common now a days and you have the AoBF, 2 plasma guns, and 6 meltas so you have something at least.

I wouldn't change anything major but look for little things to more effectively use your points to give you a tiny edge.

Only changes I would make are,

1) drop combi bolter on the chaos champ

2) make flamers into meltas on the other bike unit, you have enough bolt shots to take down infantry.

3) lastly you can drop the icon of vengeance from the other bike unit, its not doing much on 5 dudes for its cost.

I think people will tell you to consolidate all bikers into one large blob for 2 heldrakes. I dont think you really need to.
