So I paid for overnight shipping on my book. Supposedly at fedex facility yesterday and its estimated to get to my house by the 27th..

Anyone else just hate fedex as much as I?

I am the kinda ork that takes his own washing machine apart, puts new bearings in it, then puts it back together, and it still works.

"I think FEDEX do their job with speed and alacrity. Their timespans for when to sit and wait for them are also completely sane." said no one ever.

Not to be confused with UPS which is basically the same terrible trash that FEDEX is.

I don't remember having any other delivery options than fedex. I hate it to, I've wanted to stop using them permanently.

Here in the UK, we have the Royal Mail.
Known for getting almost anything from anywhere in the British Isles to you in under two days. Mainland <24 hours.

Except celebratory cards. They have to be extensively checked over the course of a week before they can be dispatched.

I have always been incredibly impressed with UPS where I live. Fedex a little less so, but their sorting center is right next door to where I work so its easy to just pick it up myself. On the flip side, I have only ever had terrible service from the USPS.

UPS here demand that you stay home between 09:00 and 18:00 to pick up your package, and the last time I did that, it turned out they had forgotten to put the package on the van. Which they cannot, in any way at all, tell you until after 18:00 at which point they will deign to check the records. I called them like 4 times. They simply refused to check before 18:00.

And if I wanna go to the pick-up spot for Malmö, this is where I have to go. http://goo.gl/maps/Xpbri
31.4km in to the countryside.

No one from Malmö even goes to the "Malmö" airport to travel. We go to the Copenhagen airport in Denmark. Much closer with infinitely better connections.

Gathering the Informations.

Never, ever, ever select "Overnight Delivery" on prerelease items.

The sender can actually suggest to the courier service that there is a "street date" that has to be kept.

Now no sudden noises, or you'll scare it back to the station.
