Curious to know if this is something normal.

My beard/whiskers have been slowing turning orange or I'm starting to grow orange whiskers out of no where. Each time and I shave more come back.

Is this something serious?

Should I go see a doctor?

Depends on how orange I suppose, but in general I don't thing different hair color is all the unusual.

I think the only logical explanation is I am the great, great, great, great, great, great grandson of Black Beard and Red beard.

It's probably not a big deal. I have dark brown hair, but when I grow my beard out, there is red around my chin. Supposedly red beard hair runs in my family.

I have dark brown hair, and a dark red beard,that occasionally spits gray in for good measure. I wouldn't worry unless the color gets WTF weird or falls out. You could just be going through a change dude

The Irish get their red hair from vikings (who settled and traded all over the northern British islands/UK and got as far as down the Volga into Russia).

So it isn't Irish heritage, it's VIKINGS.

My brother-in law has dark hair (well, what he has left of it, but a ginger beard - his dad was a ginger before he went white).

On a more serious note, while my own beard has never done such a thing, (In fact, it's never really done anything except be too thin and piss me off) I have seen it happen. Usually people with darker hair having their beards shot through with lighter hairs. Could not tell you why, though.

Maybe they all moved. Like the population of gingers is a constant unmoving number and when one dies another is born into the world. They've spread out around the world infiltrating our society. Only the natural instinct of humanity warns them about the evil of gingers but many today ignore those instincts as jokes...

My beard hairs are pretty consistently dark, and now occasionally a grey one now and then.

Before cancer treatment I had pretty much black whiskers with some white in the mix. Now I have white streaks running down the corners of my lips right down the chin Rest is black

I inherited my red (sort of a metallic copper, not that ghastly orange stuff)beard from my Norge dad, whilst my hair hair is brown.

Now I am getting a fair few BLONDE (not white, you dicks) hairs in my beard. But not up top.

Wouldn't be the first time I've heard of a guy having a different colored beard than his hair.

I know a lot of guys that have dark brown hair and a red beard. Not sure why it happens, just does.

Was originally a very dark brown, but at 19 its already starting to go a little orange flecked... and *gasp* there's a couple of greys :(

My beard, when I grow it, is white flecked with the original dark brown. My head hair is almost total white (I went grey early - started around 16).

Yeah, it usually starts on the head and works its way south. You know you're gettin' on when you find your first grey pube though.

Mine has gone from black/brown to black/brown/ginger to black/brown/white to white

White beard is my favourite so far and I'm going full Santa on it right now

Soon, those orange whiskers will become solid white. Then you'll realize how shaving makes you look young.

I get red streaks in my beard that run down from the corners of my lips when I grow my beard out, maybe its just the same sort of thing. I've also heard that lots of sunshine can sort of bleach beards, so that may be it.

My beard is multi-coloured, every shade from black to grey. I don't mean in patches but individual hairs, overall it looks black with a reddish sheen.

In short there is nothing to worry about, there certainly isn't any reason to see a doctor about it.

I know working in the sun makes my beard turn a really deep bright red. One coworker described it as "glowing". Not sure if that's a good or a bad thing.

Initially had brown beard hair, started to turn red / orange in my early 20s and the red keeps intensifying even past the 30s. Shaving is good.

You could just stop eating Cheetos, then your beard will stop turning orange.

Yeah, my hair is dark brown, and my beard was a good reddish brown. Now, however, it's half brown and half white. Strangely enough, not a grey hair on the top of my head yet, though.

I am too young for a beard, but when I was even younger, I used to be blonde. Nowadays, my hair is brown. Maybe something similiar is happening to your beard?
Hair colour can change I suppose.

My hair is dark brown, my beard has (or had) red streaks.
The streaks are going grey, moreso since my daughter was born....

my beard is starting to come in again and the orange is showing up again. they sparkle in the sun light.
