I'm about to try and sell my Sedition Wars stuff, for about a third of what I paid out... if I'm lucky. So yeah, not going near this one at all.

Shame as Zombicide is great and I can only offer good experiences for the game.

You have my attention! Guillotine Games for rules and Studio McVey for minis sounds like playing to their strengths.

Thanks for the info, Piston_Honda and DaveC!!

I think the company that is producing the "restic" has made considerable strides in quality since sedition wars, based on what I've had my hands on.

The final production plastics for both Wrath of Kings and Arcadia quest are REALLY slick. The Hadross squid rider model is particularly nice looking in the restic. Was really really impressed.

Wow, that monstrosity looks great. A few gaps at the joins, but nothing major. I agree that this pairs the companies, so that each can play to their strengths. Let's get these figures in something that ISN'T restic though...

Yep definitely PVC

We received many messages and questions. So here some answers:
- The material of the miniatures will be PVC. Dust Studio of Paolo Parente will be responsible of the manufacturing, the mold tooling and the quality control. His experience and his presence in Asia will assure an outstanding quality.
- We have many many great names on the project the best sculptors available in the market and a team of incredible and talented artists: Adrian Smith (the master behind the creation of the 7 Sins), Karl and Stefan Kopinski, Paolo Parente, Richard Wright, Jacopo Camagni, Miguel Coimbra and Georges Clarenko. You will not be disappointed by such an incredible team!
- The boardgame will be designed by Eric M. Lang (Chaos in the old world, Quarriors, Marvel Dice Masters and many other incredible titles)
- The game will be published in 2015, but at Gencon 2014 we will be able to show a large part of the work so far created.

Finally meet Dr Gan one central figure of our universe. He is not a good guy if you have some doubts! Adrian made, as usual an amazing and incredible piece of art!

Woah... Dust Studios producing?

I love their stuff. The material is a touch bendy, but their affinity for pre-assembled and pre-primed minis of surprisingly good quality-to-price ratio, has me interested.

A LOT of my favorite people seem to have their names attached to this one.

Paulo and David Preti (who is with GG) are good friends.

I really think when people get their hands on some of the PVC pieces from wrath of kings and Arcadia quest some of the concerns will be dispelled.

Well, I can only add my experience to the discussion, which is to say that Paolo Parente will not abide by crap. He makes the best soft-plastic(restic?) models I have ever held in my hands. His name attached to this just sky-rocketed my interest.

Hmm not sure about this now,

I really like the large stuff from Dust, but I don't really like the human sized stuff, so I guess things will depend what the mix in the game is like

As to Eric Lang as a writer we'll have Kaos Ball and Arcadia Quest as more recent examples of games he's been involved in recently

Kaos Ball's been getting pretty good word of mouth. Lang's got some good games under his belt too- Chaos in the Old World and Quarriors aren't exactly slouches.

I guess if he's behind it, that dispels any thoughts I had about Ganesha Games being involved, which means there'll probably be another near- future Cthulhu game showing up at some point in the future.

At least if it's Mythos inspired, we might get some deep ones at some point or another- I can never have enough fish men!

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Somewhere in the steamy jungles of the south...

Cthulhu mythos meets Hellraiser? AND McVey/Dust Studios are involved? Color me fascinated!

I was interested until the not Pinhead. Not a fan of that aesthetic so I will probably pass if that makes up a lot of the sculpts.

So, Cenobites? Meh. S&M monsters don't interest me as much as unspeakable horrors from beyond the veil. Show me more monsters and give us a few hints as to what the human faction will be using.

I don't know... the Cenobites always felt, to me, as something that would fit into Lovecraft's universe. I can only imagine the fate of some long suffering cultists pulled into other-worlds, and Hellraiser canon does confirm that Cenobites were all human once...

Anyway, lest we nerd out too much.... i'm still excited for this. Bring on the details!

There are definitly some good bits on that miniature, but the overall appreance isn't to my liking. It is too busy and got too much going on. Too bad. But I'm sure the other stuff that will follow will lighten my spirit a bit more instead.

Updated the first post with the new images.

Let me know if there are errors or spacing issues. Or perhaps size issues with images.

Thanks dave c for making it easy on me to copy and paste the images.

No problem the size is a bit of an issue the images are huge at least the forum automatically resizes them (most of the time )

I hope this ks launches around Halloween time to get me in the mood.

zombie board games
apple cider/pie
Haunted Hayrides and haunted houses
autumn foliage

and the others kickstarter.

Personally, I'd like to see the KS launched whenever, but scheduled with a good amount of padding, so it's timed to come out in the fall.

It's not this year, (although it will be at Gencon presumably to demo/test)

they say this on facebook

I really like what I see so far. What is the scale on this stuff, BTW?

You had my attention at The Secret World on table top. If they can pull that off, I'm all in.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

Definitely one to keep an eye on. What's McVey's part in it, though? I'm wary of them, to put it mildly.
