So, in addition to including a ridiculous number of models, this list generates enough charge points to summon like crazy.
I'm still not quite clear on how squads of psykers and available powers works... If i have a 20 man squad of Pink HOrrors do they get 3 Daemonology powers... giving me a good chance of being able to summon a GD? Figure put the sqaud up front and let it get beat down - when there's not many models left, trade em for a GD!
Obviously 2 FOCs, 8 ML3 Heralds, 6 20Man (3charge pts) Flamers, THats eough charge points to put 7 points towards summoning at least 5 or 6 times. Let the flamers risk perils for the summoning, and use the heralds to zap stuff.

if you're running Unbound, why have horrors? If you're trying to make a Battle-Forged list, you can only have 1 set of 4 Heralds in your Primary Combined Arms Detachment. Also, horrors generate 1 spell from the Change discipline. They don't get to roll on any BRB disciplines.

I don't actually have the new rulebook yet. Must have misunderstood a post that said a single army can take multiple FOCs at any point level and still be battle forged....
A ML3 w/ daemonology is about 80℅ to roll a five or six - so you should have 7 of 8 heralds summoning wicked stuff

This is all incorrect, Pink Horrors get Flickering Fire for Free now, and are allowed to roll on Malefic.
You can in fact have 8 heralds in a Battle Forged as you can have multiple FOCs in your Primary.
4 Heralds
2 Troops
1 Herald
2 Troops
1 Herald
2 Troops
1 Herald
2 Troops
1 Herald
2 Troops
Or whatever combination you wish to do.

I'm not 100% on Demonic Focus at this point(don't have the rulebook with me anymore), but I know that you can only have 1 Primary Combined Arms Detachment, thanks.
edit: I'm not saying you can't have 8 heralds in a Battle-Forged army, but you'd have to have 3 Combined Arms Detachments(only one of which is your primary), So you'd have to have at least 6 troops choices.

Your above list does work if you have it split up into 3 CADs.

Yeah basically with the new FOC you can pretty much almost build any army you want. Personally I've been trying to figure out a 5 Soul Grinder list that still maximized 30 Power dice but its difficult.

The Daemon book quite clearly and simply states that "Each primary detachment in your army may include up to four Heralds...." Heralds are only for the Primary detachment, as no permission is given to take them in any other type of detachment.
There's no permission to take Heralds at all unless Daemons is your Primary Detachment. Once you are Battle-Forged, and Daemons is your Primary, you may only ever take a maximum of four Heralds, since you may only have one Primary Detachment, and you are limited to four Heralds per Primary Detachment.
If you go Unbound...then you just need a Daemon model as an HQ, which makes Daemons your Primary, which means you may take up to four Heralds. STILL no permission to take more than four Heralds.
So four Heralds is the maximum amount you are ever legally allowed to include in an army.

Unbound is completely unlimited, there is no primary at all. It says you play with any models you have. You could run 20 heralds if you wanted to.

I know what the codex says, it is also practice by the community at large to allow a standard 1 Herald/ HQ slot, if taken as an allied detachment in 6th. I would be happy to have that change in 7th edition, as it would limit the Herald spam!

Horrors are better summoners than the Heralds. A unit of 16-20 Horrors generates 3 warp charges per turn and can generate 1 warp power (summoning most likely). If you cause a perils, you kill off ONE of the pink horrors leaving 15+ more to go.
The only reason to even bother with Heralds is because they're cheap sources of warp charges. They are not instrumental to the build.

The codex says that you can only ever have 4 Heralds in an army in which Daemons are the Primary Detatchment. Thats not per detatchment, or per HQ slot (which is another rule). You can only ever have 4 Heralds in a Daemon army as I read it. Im sure there are grounds to disagree. Just pointing out that this could prevent this list being legal.

The way to argue against that is that the up to 4 option which treats Heralds as a single HQ slot is called "Heralds of Chaos". It is its own independent entry in the army guide that makes taking heralds more efficient for the primary detachment only. Heralds themselves are also listed in the HQ list as their own independent entry and are in no way restricted except according to the "Heralds of Chaos" entry, which you need not select! Strictly speaking, the rules indicate that you can choose to take Heralds as an HQ option, choosing to ignore the other available HQ option which is "Heralds of Chaos".
By that token, you CAN have more than just four Heralds in your army. You just don't get the Buy 1 Get 3 Free coupon with it.
