I have a copy of imperial armour areonautica, is that the most up to date rule for the contemptor mortis dreadnaught?

Also are they any good?

I was thinking of bringing it in place of a quad gun as anti air with dual autocanons and possibly the cyclone missile launcher, seems like 1 or 2 would make for great fire support for my ravenwing.

IA APOCALYPSE has the most updated rules, though the only change between it and IA AERONAUTICA is the BS (which is now 4 instead of 5).

They're great. Their ability to decide whether or not to have Skyfire makes them very versatile. The added survivability of of vehicles this edition make them a slightly better choice than before. Definitely take the Cyclone. For the amount of points you're going to sink into the Contemptor, the added missile shots make them generally cost effective.

Thanks, they seem really neat and they would be an interesting replacement for my ADL that may have been destroyed or stolen by my cat. Per unit they would actually save me points as they are cheaper than and ADL with quad gun and a squad to man it and bring more fire power with the cyclone missile upgrade, they can also move if the starting position requires and just can't sky fire for a turn.

Yeah.. I've heard that ADLs are really hot in the feline meta right now for some reason...

Well I was painting it the other day now the gun and most of the wall sections are AWOL, I don't have anyone's else living with me at the moment so there's really only 2 possible culprits, alcohol or the cat.

The two are not mutually exclusive. Cats are evil sober, but once they hit the bottle, there is no limits on what they will do...

I think Imperial Armour 2: Second Edition is the most current. The points have also changed, as well. Of course, if you still want to run the BS5 version, they're in the Legion Crusade list.

Nah bs4 is fine, I just liked the model and I giving me something other than an ADL to be anti air.
