Hi.
I have just started painting a new 40k orc army. Ive got my orc colour scheme down but am having trouble figuring out a good base.
First off the models including the base is primed in white, and second im trying to replicate the battle in the Dawn of war 1 intro between the orcs and blood raven space marines. Link below will give you an idea of the base colour im after.

The above are secret weapon, scrapyard bases And should be avalible from wayland games in the uk.
If your after DIY Sand, rocks and other bits on the bases to give a battlefield then paint Balor brown with dry brush of zamesi Desert and final dry rush of Ushabiti Bone, any rocks as fallen masonry in greys and any metal rusted up with browns and orange

It's probably better to post direct links to your images, so they turn up in the thread.
Indeed your orks are painted quite well, the skin tone is a nice variation on what is normally seen.

Thanks Was not sure how to put them up on the thread.
Again the skin is taken from the Dawn of war 1 trailer, Wasn't a big fan of the dark skin orcs. tried base coat of caliban green and was far to dark for me.

Looking good, skin tone totally suits them, not a fan of the studio tones, keep up the good work and can't wait to see them based
