2k Competitive Dark Eldar

1st Detachment

Archon - Shadow Field, Blaster (goes with Trueborns)

Trueborns x3 - x3 Blasters, Venom - Splinter Cannon

2nd Detachment

Warriors x10 - Splinter Cannon, Raider

So the list Basically is:

2 Archons Blasters and 5 Blasterborn units (in Venoms) for total of 17 Blasters and 60 Poison shots
4 Raiders of Warriors, 4 Lances and average of 56 Poison shots
4 Ravagers for more Armor and 12 lances

With the New Jink Rules and Cover it seems to be much easier to keep my vehicles alive (only played 4 games of 7e so far and did well)

What you think?

The only real issue I can see is if you go second and the opponent has enough long range anti-vehicle power to slap down your stationary (and therefore jink-free) raiders/venoms.
- You do have nice saturation of vehicles though so any early casualties have less of an impact.

The only suggestion I would have is using Sliscus to allow your Raiders/Venoms to Deep Strike without any upgrade cost (such as retrofire jets).
- This would ensure a chunk of the army is safe should you be forced to go second
- You will be able to deep strike them where required to plug the gaps should the enemy take a bite out of your forces

Just my idea - hope it's of some use

Thousand Sons: 3850pts / Space Marines Deathwatch 5000pts / Dark Eldar Webway Corsairs 2000pts / Scrapheap Challenged Orks 1500pts / Black Death 1500pts

Saga: (Vikings, Normans, Anglo Danes, Irish, Scots, Late Romans, Huns and Anglo Saxons), Lion Rampant, Ronin: (Bushi x2, Sohei), Frostgrave: (Enchanter, Thaumaturge, Illusionist)

You can Jink turn1 without moving. So even if I go 2nd I can Jink, the new Jink rule is "When a unit is target for shooting attack, you may declare that it will Jink".

I was thinking about using the Duke, I will have to give that a Try. Free DS is nice.

Correct on the new jink. I am still trying to figure out if two CAD's is still battleforged. I'd love to take 5 or 6 ravagers but for now will play the beastpack until it's clarified. I personally would take the warriors in venoms as well. Saves some points and allows for possibly more ravagers or some anti air flyers if needed.

pg 118 "There is no limit to the number of Detachments a Battle-Forged armo can included."

Damn it's hard remembering which rules are for which edition

You are indeed correct. In which case all it stands to suggest is as Rawatts said about having some AA capability. Apparently Void Raven bombers are reasonable though I've not had a chance to buy one yet
