What is the Chaos equivalent of an Interrogator Chaplain?

Curious cause I am planning on letting my friend borrow a Chaplain for our game and I wanted to know what it would be most like in his army.

The closest to a Chaos Chaplain is the Dark Apostle, who fulfils a similar role to the Chaplain by buffing troops. Fluff wise, they were originally the Chaplains of the Word Bearers Legion.

Thread title is a little misleading, as this is a proxy situation, not a conversion one...
But a dark apostle is most likely, though a chaos lord w/power maul/black mace isn't out of the question.

Fixed title to clarify. So it would be a Dark Apostle then?

I'd play it as a Dark Apostle, although you could almost get away with it being a Chaos Lord.

Hmmm, this is indeed tempting. My friends codex doesn't have the Fallen in there as far as I know, I'd need to double check. Are there dataslates for the Fallen?

There is one, for Cypher. He has some pretty cool rules, but they're mostly fluffy.

Yeah I love Cypher, he's in my Fallen/Redeemed DA Chapter atm.

Chaos Lord is slightly too strong stat wise to be converted from Interrogator Chaplain, but nothing else comes close. Normal Chaplain is the exact stats as Dark Apostles so I guess we could just use em as those.

Well, yeah, the safest bet would be with a Dark Apostle. It's basically a chaos version of a Chaplain with almost identical loadout(even the power maul/crozius), stat line and role on the table.

For Chaos they work wonders when attached to a cultist blob for his sweet buffs that are going to last pretty long with all those ablative wounds.

Lord with a black mace seems somewhat plausible too, but for that the Dark Vengeance chosen with maul would be enough so yeah.
