Hello! Which wash did you use from Flory Models? I feel like it was the mud brown weathering wash, but I'm not sure. Great work on the devilfish, brilliant stuff!

Unrealistic artist, what is your method of using the tau decals (or any GW decals for that matter) if I may ask? They have always been a real source of frustration for me haha

Also, if you really wanted a challenge, you could consider dark eldar instead of regular eldar. DE models are a lot more challenging to get to look good (hence why they're always painted black...), and it would be very interesting to see a vehicle that looks both fancy, delicate, and evilly classy while also looking a bit weathered up and like it's seen a fight or two.

Cheers Paradigm, I enjoyed that one and I've got a plan to build another one this Summer too, with some FW Elysian drop troops Automatically Appended Next Post: mangrove yeti wrote:Unrealistic artist, what is your method of using the tau decals (or any GW decals for that matter) if I may ask? Hi mangrove. decals are a pain and I never really look forward to putting them on. I use vallejo decal medium and decal fix for all my decals:
http://www.acrylicosvallejo.com/en_US/applying-decals/blog/1/35
I tend to use 2 or 3 coats of decal fix to really make sure it's adhering as closely as possible, which also seems to eliminate that nasty sheen you can sometimes get from decals. I also chip them up a bit shortly after they're on with the point of a file, being careful not to scratch through the paintwork! Finally the whole model gets a coat of Satin varnish which seals everything in and helps achieve a nice professional finish.
Hope that helps!?

I'm always up for a challenge Ailaros : )

Awesome models. Your weathering technique is one of the best I've ever seen. Very realistic and not overdone.
It's really nice you spend extra time to make step by step tutorials. Keep up the good work.
