Who is Deadliest?
Is it da bigga an' da stronga Greenskins?
Or is it the cult heavy Sorcerers of the Warp?
Neither, the armies are evenly matched.

Another 7th edition game. The Orks player is making his final 6th edition match and the CSM player is trying out Malefic without Daemons to see how truly bad it might be.

Thanks, that was an interesting report. Pity it all went so wrong in one turn at the end there!

Tough break for the sorcerer. Predictable though. Trying to bank on any 3 WC power in a 1000 game is iffy unless you have a proliferation of cheap psykers (Daemons comes to mind).

The Chaos player deserves a pat on the back though. His entire list was a poor match-up against the ork list; cultists are too fragile and don't put out enough damage to hang with orks. Obviously, he was relying on summoning those daemons to bolster his forces. But, yeah.

Good write-up, thanks for sharing it.

Haha, agreed. I was hoping to see at least one set of bloodletters or pink horrors spawn. Unfortunately (or fortunately for the Orks), that did not happen. A true Daemons factory play test and rematch (against 7th Orks) are slated for post Orks codex!

I totally agree. The odds of a successful cast were quite low but it was worth the play test. I totally agree that Daemons would have played this out better, especially with a couple Heralds in a small game.

We will typically roll off on lists to make the games less staged and the CSM list was just not prepared for an all comer game (had the potential to face Eldar, Tau, and Grey Knights but got Orks instead). The Orks player came up with a great 750 list. It played great!

Thanks for reading the report!
