Howdy!
Been into Warhammer for I don't know how long now, but I have played every game but fantasy and have been playing this one for a few months now and have been enjoying it a lot.

Currently I am running a Tyranid army I received for Christmas, I like it so far, but I am thinking of converting it into a more heavy flying army as this seems to be a weakness that my play group has.

Hello, and welcome to Dakka!
I would suggest taking a look at using the Skyblight formation if your interested in using a lot of fliers since it only uses Hive Tyrant with wings, Harpies, Hive Crones and re spawning Gargoyles. There also a tactica on this site that all about Tyranids and how to adapt them for the current edition. May all your foes taste delicious!

Howdy & welcome to DakkaDakka from the UK here 
Nids are painful, and flying can really mess over opponents as think there are certain rules bout shooting up at flying units (but unsure  )
