If people want to discuss this in the OT board then there shouldn't be any issues.

*hopes*.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all

Afraid it'd devolve into some argument about shovels vs spades?

I look forward to seeing this thread slowly but inescapably devolve into guns and/or Benghazi.

In the meanwhile, I thought I'd mention I made a post last year asking for suggestions for ground cover because I hate mowing. I got various suggestions and went with some Hen and Chicks plants. They did OK until winter but they did not survive the winter, despite being in a zone where they should have. :/

I'm not a gardener or anything, but I'm pretty sure this discussion shouldn't be in Nuts and Bolts. Right?

Unless this is all some sort of Dakka cypher code...

Last year was an extremely harsh winter, Ouze.

Always wanted a little flower garden. Hopefully in a few years once I get into a place with some actual real estate I'll be able to set one up. Seems oddly calming to me in a strange way.

Although growing watermelons in a window planter of an apartment does have some pleasing outcomes involving annoying people who park their cars right under my window...

Can we include culinary delights within such a thread? Like a home-living kinda thing? Or would that get too dangerously close to gun involvement? Seriously, we should have a section we can share recipes and such, as well as home improvements and other things. I think this thread section is a great idea!

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

You can start any if these thread ideas in the OT forum, as long as you actually have something to share/talk about. Just saying: 'let's talk about topic X' to start a thread does not cut it.

Locking this thread though, as the question has been answered.
