After istvaan v, the alpha legion engaged the space wolves to prevent them from reaching terra. The space wolves had just completed their sacking of prospero.

Yarant was one of the major heresy warzones in the original epic fluff.

Tallarn was later seriously messed up by the Iron Warriors.

Yarant? That sounds like "ya rant". No wonder they dropped the name.

They fought them in Orbit at Chondax when they initially confronted the Wolves. They then seem to have gone against orders and attacked the White Scars for reasons unknown. I'm not sure where the protracted war with the Wolves was fought.
