Your interpretation?

The size of a large mountain.

Depends on how you interpret it, is the Skull Throne made out of the skull every death Khorne is responsible for, or is the throne made partially out of the skulls of everything Khorne has killed, which then fill up the rest of the land?

I always view it as the latter, viewing the skull throne as the size of a large mountain with a whole sea of the skulls stretching on beyond the throne in all directions. Although that's if the Skull Throne is a literal thing, and not simply a phrase or an idea.

It's the Warp. It''s both. It's however big Khorne wants it to be.

It's small enough for three nurglings to make an awful mess.

A large mountain with a throne on top, with the surrounding land covered in skulls similar to The Terminator films.

The Chaos Gods are (at least, in my interpretation), such cosmic deities that they exist in many different universes and rule from beyond the material plane. Given this I think that Khornes actual 'Skull Throne' is either infinite in size or impossible to perceive with mortal eyes.

But I could see Khornes champions making their own thrones on Demon Worlds or battlefields, which might well be as tall or taller than Mount Everest.

I always imagine it to be the size of something like olympus mons.

But seriously the warp is a weird place, I think in the old CD codex they describe the skull throne as being incomprehensible. Like most things in the warp, you would go mad to look at it.

It would be constantly growing as quadrillions are slain in battle every minute.

It would be incomprehensible to measure anyway, it's the warp, it's a place where time itself doesn't exist, and you are travelling forward and backward at the same time etc.

Only those that died worthy Deaths is priveleged to have their skull mounted on the throne imo. unworthy ones are just strewned around the landscape.

Putting all the fluff from the umpteen different writer, getting a skull to the throne is no easy matter...

1st- It has to be a skull of a mighty foe that dies in battle
(no shortage there but certainly not in the "quadrillions/ day" since most would be civilians or troopers that wet themselves the moment a demon didn't die at the 40mtr mark)
2nd- It has to be taken by a warrior dedicated wholly to Khorne (again no shortage.. and considering they go out of there way to find subjects from No1 its par for par)
3rd- Once they either return to the warp or are sent back forcibly (demons), they then have to get back to their realm.. specifically to the throne..
#3 is the hard part and in some of the old 3rd ed. stories demons will often waylay each other and even chosen mortals to steal the skulls from them
(after all it doesn't count as stealing if they killed for it)
4th- Theres probably even more to do but the final step is to beseech Khorne himself to accept it.. and Big Red being a chaos god I'm sure he's rejected more than a few..

**All in all even after saying all that the skulls neither rot nor fade once there as Khorne is eternal... as for this "The warps whatever they want" gak.. yes it can be TO A DEGREE" after all the gods eternity comes at the price of predictability of character and the warp takes the form of WILL not WHIM
(yes I understand predictably chaotic gods is an oxymoron..)
In the end Khorne is NOT Tzeentch,, as such he would not simply will a mountain of skulls.. it is his character to go out and rip the skulls from the material universe himself if he had to... But as no God has ever stepped foot out of the warp (if they even can) he chosen champions will suffice.

Attempting to answer the question-
It really depends on whether he gets bored of the skulls.. I've not read anything that suggests he fickle .. yet nor have I seen suggestions he stubbornly refuses to relent (though this is more likely in my mind of him)
And yet if he would throw skulls away that are meaningless to any living mortal (since the mentality of the warp seems inexorably tied to the mortal realm) then there would be a skull for nearly every monument or remembered hero that was slain by Khorn's followers..
So somewhat short of a mountain... by a large margin...

Any size you want. In the warp it doesn't really matter.

A more interesting question would be: which skulls would be the most impressive? Are there dragon skulls in the Throne? Alien skulls? PRIMARCH skulls?

Mass as we know it doesn't apply to the Warp. Nothing we see in the Warp, even in artwork, is concrete. It's merely an interpretation one might make of the roiling chaos.

The Emperor killed Horus shortly after Sanguinius was killed, so I guess the loyalists took his body to somewhere where Khorne couldn't get it.

The Skull Throne can be whatever you want it to be, since it's symbolic and imaginary. It doesn't even have to be a Throne if you ask me. It can be a pony.

But in my imagination, I see it as a large mountain with a giant (Khorne) sitting on it.

How big can it be, its the warp, normal universe rules do not apply, it could be small or 100 miles high the size of a continent.

In the warp it can be whatever he wants it to be.
