I wanted to know what terrain is easy to make. I have already made roads and rivers out of cardboard, but what else is easy to make?

Roads made from sandpaper, trees from twigs,cliffs/rocks from tree bark,petrol/oil tanks from plastic bottles, barricades from scrap plastic and wood.......the list is endless.
Add some plasticard or styrene into the mix and the sky is the limit
Plastic ink cartridge cases make good power plants turned upside down and add a few drinking straw pipes
Oh and don't forget bandage makes good camo nets.

Bocage is fav.
Here is what i use
Free paint stir stick from the hardware store
Foam board from the Dollar tree
elmers glue
cat litter
Tutorial
cut the foam board into thin strips glue and stack to desired hieght, let dry.place glue then sprinkle cat litter on it. dry and then proceed to pant flock and add foliage.
Foam board is probably another on of my fav. materials,You can make bunkers, trenches , buildings out of it.
If interested pm me and i can set you up with some Building templates that you can print and use.
Also another good item you can make is texture paint to represent concrete,CHeap craft paint and add some fime grit sand to desired consistecy.
Great to use on bunkers and Building and cheap too. 75 cent bottle of grey craft paint a dollar bag of sand.
I got a ton of more homemde terrain tips and tricks if you need some ,Just ask and i will see what i can do.

There is an interesting article in Miniatures Wargames this month about making cheap roads from roofing felt. Looks really easy. I'm tempted to give it a go as I'm not all that happy with my last attempt at home made roads.

Try roofing shingles,Grey or black they work pretty good and you can cut to whatever shape you want.just remember when cutting them to cut them asphalt side down.if you are real dedicated you can mount them on board or foacore.

"I tell you there is something splendid in a man who will not always obey. Why, if we had done as the kings had told us five hundred years ago, we should have all been slaves. If we had done as the priests told us, we should have all been idiots. If we had done as the doctors told us, we should have all been dead.
We have been saved by disobedience." - Robert G. Ingersoll
"At this point, I'll be the first to admit it, I so do not give them the benefit of the doubt that, if they saved all the children and puppies from a burning orphanage, I would probably suspect them of having started the fire. " - mrondeau, on DP9
