Did that the last time. This time it has to be at least 150, exponential growth and such, hurray for capitalism!
Somehow I'm grateful that I'm going to spend the next few days with my girlfriend, who believes that internet was made for other people, so my wallet won't be abused for some time.
To be fair, it scares me. I don't know want to spend much, but being a "veteran" of these damn sales, I already know I'm gonna buy a gakload of games I'll never touch... just like in all the previous sales...

Waiting for my shill money from Spiral Arm Studios
Wouldn't a better video be of Eddard Stark saying "Summer is coming, prepare your wallets."

Cato Sicarius, after force feeding Captain Ventris a copy of the Codex Astartes for having the audacity to play Deathwatch, chokes to death on his own D-baggery after finding Calgar assembling his new Eldar army.

According to the rumors, it's supposed to be today, the 19th. Any minute now :3

10am Pacific time seems to be Steam's favorite "transition" time. So if it's today, that would be my guess for a starting point.
That's in about half an hour.
BOOM! Right-on! 18:01 here, Steam Sales are up!

And is still prohibitively expensive if you actually want to do anything in it, since all actual game content is scattered throughout a billion separate DLCs!
Woo!
Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

Planetary Annihilation is half price, £14.99 is very tempting......

Do not underestimate the Squats. They survived for millenia cut off from the Imperium and assailed on all sides. Their determination and resilience is an example to us all.

Its just a shame that they couldn't fight off Andy Chambers.

Is Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion a standalone? Or an expansion? And how much RTS does it have? I don’t have the twitch reflex I used to, so prefer turn based, but do enjoy games like DoW, starcraft, etc. But also Civ V, RFTS, Spaceward Ho, etc.

Standalone, it contains all the features from the previous Sins games.
It depends on what RTS games you're used to. Sins can take a good while to get going, and it's only really your corvettes that'll feel like they have any real speed, especially turning. It can be quite slow-paced, and doesn't really rely on having split-second reactions if that's what you're worried about.

The quick stuff is what I'm worried about. RTS games where you need to micro-manage every unit (select, activate ability, choose target, repeat for everyone) are too much like work. I’m fine sending waves of things at foes, or telling the lot of them to focus fire on the big thing.

How is it for single player replayability?
AFAIK doesn't have a story mode. That said, a single match can last for hours.

So much people complaining of buying games they'll never play, so depressing when I don't have enough money to by one so I play everyone I big to death... :whimpering:
The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

And there goes all my money again....I wonder if I'll eventually get around to playing any of these.
Six mistakes mankind keeps making century after century: Believing that personal gain is made by crushing others; Worrying about things that cannot be changed or corrected; Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it; Refusing to set aside trivial preferences; Neglecting development and refinement of the mind; Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do
