I have been thinking that MSU may be a effective way to play in this edition. what do you think of this list.
Chaos Lord, Nurlge powerfist, lighting claw, 4++
5 plague marines Powerax and melta bomb, melta, plasma
Rhino

Run all the units separately, like the oblits, the mutilator and the spawns. That gives you 9 really annoying units to put on the field to either score on objectives or to push opponents off the objectives with.
20 units
The GUO is there to assault heavily armed enemy objectives and to lay the Portaglyph down.
Any thoughts.

Given that the rhino counts as a troop, which can tankshock other units off of objectives and then score those, I definitely feel that its worth it. Besides, with a list like this, first blood is going to happen pretty easily, but keeping me off all the objectives will be kind of tough.
For what its worth, i think having 20+ separate units to score with seems like the efficacy of the whole woutd be more than the sum of their parts. A lot of units will waste some of their fire power killing only one unit and having extra wounds go unused.
In total you have to do 68 wounds and 8 HP damage that you have to do, some armies will have no problem doing it all in one turn, but most rely on massed shooting from large units. a unit of 30 guardsman would kill 1 unit per turn, however they might only be killing a single 2 or three wound model with all that shooting with lots of wounds going to waste.

Any particular reason for portalglyph. Because the way I see it its kinda useless... only averages 1.75 demons per turn.

It averages a scoring unit for free every other turn. This can be a unit of horrors, which can get a roll on maelific daemonology, and make more daemons. I've had 4 horrors turn into a lord of change. Totally worth it every time.

Not only that, its a AV12 vehicle that pumps out troops. Nothing wrong with plopping this somewhere on the field especially when your foe will be facing 19 other targets.

The point about Pink horrors is a good one, but other then that it doesn't seem so good... if the opponent is on the objective they will destroy it easily, if not they can ignore it.

Seems like a meta where troops can dominate objectives makes troops really important. Maybe thats just me.

Could work...more mobile armies may make mincemeat of it by simply out maneuvering the slow cc threats and dealing with them when they want...that being said there is no doubt that when this army gets dug into objectives it would be damn hard to shift.
