Today, a small bag emerged from Forge World containing my Chaos army's newest Engine of power. In a blink of an eye, the bag was ripped open and the parts prepared and placed out to show how they looked (As this is my FIRST ever Forge World model so caution to professionals seeing this mere amateur at work lol)

Once the parts were cut out and many near cuts, finger removals and super glue related accidents later, the model was ready and prepared to be painted. Here is how it is before started to paint (as already painting base coats at this point after it was spray painted).

There is the prepared model, and as seen decided to make him standing at its full height, to make it have to look down to the opponents to give it a more daunting & fearful look towards it. Once it is painted fully as you'll see in future parts, it will look truly terrifying in views.

Alright so Day 1 of painting starting has begun and seemed very fast during the day as it ended so soon, The Decimator Demon Engine now began to take some appearence once spray painted (Sorry no images of just spray paint on), and will now be shown just how much has being done.

First Forge world & First larger scale model painted.

So there is the first day's of painting completed, taking a lot more focus to do this model compared to the other models that have being done over the time painting in general. Starting to understand just how hard painting these models with the focus required now is.

So it has now being Day 2 since starting this beast of an engine and progress today sky rocketed as can show to all who are reading this

So here are some images of it before it was given the wash down.

After finally reaching that stage, and two hours later decided to myself "what the heck" and went straight into washing the model fully. Struggling at first to find a brush big enough to wash over the model as to try to limit the wash usage, finally came across my trusty brush that I use for liquid green stuff and began to wash down the model. After it had being washed it started to give me a faint creepy sensation as the mask of the model was now washed, once the sensation vanished a few moments later, went on the washing down the two flesh sections of this model on its Left leg and its Left upper army.

After minutes of washing and work... It was complete (or least the main model of it was) and is ready to be shown to all you wonderful readers and sightseers of superbly painted models. Here is the grand final outcome of this enlarged beast that stands a grand 5 inches!

So there you have it folks for this time being! The grand Decimator of the Divine Evisceration Warband (My CSM army's name), this is not how ever a complete BLOG, as need to order and paint the weapons on this horrific filling beast!

So to say instead of Concluded...... To Be Continued...

Aye by end of week, that engine will be complete! Hoping to try taking a day painting each weapon or half day on each depending how large they are in scale.

Things take long as they take, one IG sniper has taken a hour just to do the cammoflarge.
And that's not all the layers :-(

Wow that certainly is a long time painting it. but what I end up doing is hours of painting a day so I can end up doing 6 hours or more without realising it in one sit down painting session

I was wondering is there any possibility of having cultists that were originally scouts with sniper training?

I hate to be that guy, but the legs aren't supposed to stand up straight like that, the lower pair of knees are backwards jointed!

Having said that, glad you are enjoying the kit. I had a lot of fun messing around with mine.

Aye I know he's suppose to be knee bent, but decided to make him stand tall to give that dark looming figure as he is behind you, staring down silently.

Creepy factor what was aiming for in this model mostly

Rule wise I don,t k bow but fluff wise, say a group of scouts got too close to a chaotic temple or site and tainted by its influence when exploring a new planet or purging a world acting as the first eyes and ears for a larger force

lol aye I knew Feral fortunately usually just try things as I go along to see how it comes out (to let creative flow act on own flow) The weapons for the Decimator are arriving on Friday hopefully so get to see outcome of this model by Saturday

Aha I see Jhe90, thank you for telling me, just did have idea of making some conversions of Cultists that were scouts with sniper (as to hopefully gain some more range in cultist wise)

The weapons now completed from the previous day, the final gluing has being completed and here to be shown the model is 100% complete and the base is going to be WIP.

So here is the model complete after painting, waiting and more painting of the model. But next is the preparations for the base itself.

To Be Concluded...

At long last after thinking of a way to make the base seem something had lived on it, created and made the base in a similar to Cities Of Death base colours with a blend of some red detail as will see here in the next 7 images of the grand result of the hard work put into this model.

There is as if the Decimator had stepped onto someone and it had being turned into a small pulp under its foot, showing its dripping down as its parted from the middle. And now for the final images as everyone knows nothing completes a Blog then the grand finale....

Complete Model Shots!

The Blog now coming to an close, but fear not as a Vlog version of this Blog will be created and place on the 6th of August on the page in signature

Hope you all enjoyed this small journey of seeing this Decimator still on the resin it was delivered me on, right up to the final results.

Concluded Blog....Vlog To Come
