Hello im a new dark angels player. A few people have recommended a mortis dreadnought and a contempter mortis dreadnought.
Im struggling to find stats for these 2 dreads. I have found the mortis one (not sure if its indate at 105 points with options of guns.
The contempter mortis apparently has options of kheres guns which i belive are 6 str 6 gaks ap4? (Correct me if im wrong)
Basically the point of this thread is i need to :
A) find out whats the difference between the 2.
B) find out the points cost for the base cost and the options cost.
C) identify what options are better vs a heldrake + nurgle daemon prince list
Thanks in advance for any assistance

Point costs won't be posted, but we can help you out.
A. The Contemptor has more armor, an invul, different weapon options, and costs more.
B. A Mortis Contemptor with 2 Kheres and a CML is 200+ but very, very good at taking down aircraft (provided it doesn't move, much like the regular Mortis). The only downside is the short range of the Kheres. I've found the regular Mortis is best with 2 TLLC, giving reliable long range high strength AA. It costs 150+.
C. Regular Mortis will be better at taking down the drake, IMO, while the Contemptor will be better at taking down the princes. However, they can both do either effectively.
Whenever I know I'm playing an air heavy list I always plop two TLLC Mortis in the back.

Thanks for this. I think i can fill in the blanks for points costs . Can 2 TLLCs be put on the contemptor? So its like the regular except better armour and invun plus a CML

The contemptor gets the same weapons as the mortis, but also has the option of getting kheres assault cannons. (and the CML)
If you are putting lascannons on it, then go for the normal mortis, as the contemptors firepower will have 2 more missiles, but costs nearly 100 points more for it.
For your targets, lascannons should be fine vs drakes, both options will be poor vs the DP, but that is because he has a 2+ cover save anywhere.

For the official rules and points get the Imperial Armour Vehicles of the Adeptus Astartes.
It literally has every FW vehicle available to the SMs (minus the last HH one with the TL volcano cannon).
