So, I am still new to 7th, but the detachment seems to be another form of force organization like the warband. I am not sure if you can take both, but anyway if what I think is correct. It looks like orks can field a lot more models in a standards game. Like a lot more models. For instance in the Horde detachment, which I think you can take in battle forged, You can take 3 HQs, 9 troops, 3 FAST 3 elite 3 heavies 1 fortification 1 LORD OF WAR. So, If i am correct you can have a stompa in a standard game.. Just say.. Pretty cool if its true.

I guess what i am saying is a standard tournament would include a stompa in regular lists, but only 1 or you could pick ghaz
I guess i can see it being nice if your not going to take the stompa you can throw in ghaz as a 4th hq.

There is no such thing as a 'standard tournament'.
Every tournament makes their own rules. From what I've been seeing, a lot of them aren't allowing LoW.
What is or isn't allowed in friendly games is up to you and your opponent. Frankly, if an opponent in a friendly gamw wanted to field Ghaz and a Stompa, provided I was pre-warned that they were bringing a super-heavy so I could build a list to match, I wouldn't have a problem with it.

You are entirely right, but I cant help but wonder if the GW sponsored ones arent going to allow LoW. I dont really see a problem with 1, but only 1.

True, but I've already been to two tourneys this edition that ban Lord of Wars. So yes while good for casual, I still doesn't help in competitive (I just want to point out that I'm not a over competitive player, I just go to tournaments to have fun and socialize with out of town gamers)
IMHO I also believe super heavies should have stayed in Apocalypse or fluffy scenarios

What is the strongest weapon of mankind? The god-machines of the Adeptus Mechanicus? No! The Astartes Legions? No! The tank? The lasgun? The fist? Not at all! Courage and courage alone stands above them all! |

Well if that becomes the norm, then the codex needs a rewrite so that LoW are only for apocalypse or fluffy games. If GW intend for them to be part of the usual fair of the game and most tournaments don't allow them, then we have a major problem with balancing in tournaments because the codex-es are eligibly play tested for all the models in them to be used in a competitive game of equal points.
