Hey everyone! The name's Preston. I'm actually fairly new to the whole tabletop war game world, compared to some others. I picked up a Nid army in 2012, and been playing with those for a while. Getting a bit sick of Psykers, I switched over to Space Wolves and am playing them consistently--at least for the moment. I used to play a lot of tabletop RPGs-- D&D, Serenity, that sort of thing, but haven't been able to find a good group in the area, since my last one stopped getting together.

More than playing hte game, I love building terrain for 40k. I'm stepping soon into the realm of fantasy Warhammer and Warmachine, and seeing if I can't do some terrain for those, but I still like the post-apocalyptic style of 40k. check out some of the pics I've got on here. I've enjoyed looking over what others have done and decided to add my creations to the mix on here. Plz, all comments are welcome, I'd love to know what you guys think. At the point of writing this, only a few pics are up, but I'll be flooding the site with more here soon. I try to keep pretty busy with my hobby.

Last thing...promise. I've got a blog I'm just starting off, to showcase some of my stuff, and I'll start doing tutorials, so check it out!

Welcome to dakka,

Its hard to be awesome, when your playing with little plastic men.
Welcome to Fantasy 40k

If you think your important, in the great scheme of things. Do the water test.

Put your hands in a bucket of warm water,
then pull them out fast. The size of the hole shows how important you are.
I think we should roll some dice, to see if we should roll some dice, To decide if all this dice rolling is good for the game.

Hey Preston, welcome!

And I have to say I am very impressed with the terrain! I would love to play on Myst Isle. The poor camper there would be stunned to see figures in futuristic power armour charging past, but I guess anything can happen when you fall into the warp!

And I liked the display stand too. I might steal some ideas for my own army's display stand! If I ever get it up, I'll post it too.

Cheers!

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka

Thanks for the praise! Feel free to run with the ideas, who knows, maybe a cascade of new stuff will show up, both of us playing off designs. I look forward to seeing what you come up with.
