I always thought it was just the three attacks, but looking again at the Necron codex, and even the new FAQ, it says you get to make 3 sweeping attacks. Am I correct in assuming this means an overlord would get 9 attacks instead of 3?

Also, to me, making the CCB only able to carry overlords was a huge blow. I always used to stick Trayzn in there and assault spam with his obliterator. What do you guys think? Has the CCB outlived its usefulness?

Its not 3 sweeping attacks

Its 3 sweeping attacks

The three sweeping attacks in no way correlate with the attacks in the overlords profile, they are seperate attacks using the overlords scythe. So only three.

Are you kidding me? The CCB is a force of destruction in 7th edition.

Well I only have the 6th edition rulebook right now so I'm assuming it's the same, but the chariot rule says "roll a D6 for each attack the rider has on his profile." And if we get to make 3 sweeping attacks...

So how is it so great now, without Trayzn?

Chariots now get locked into combat, fighst on front armor, and you can pick how shooting attacks get allocated to the chariot or rider.

It also counts as a single model, so gains the 3++ invul from phase shifter and the 4+ everliving roll

It basically is a 13/13/11 dreadnought that moves 12" a turn and gets 3++ and reanimation. Giving it a Warsythe means it kills every vehicle it comes in contact.

*Edit* Chariots don't get sweeping attacks anymore. The CCB only gets sweeping attacks from its special rule in the codex

Oh, that would make sense, I just don't know 7th very well yet.
But wait, you're saying a vehicle can come back to life now? Is that legit? Does this mean the vehicle befits from phylactery as well as the overlord, so it come back with D3 hull points? And is it true that chariots can be stuck in assault now?

The CCB benefits from the Overlord's Everliving rule (even says so in the rulebook). It should be noted that this is because the Chariot and its Rider are now a single model (not unit) and so the rider can't leave the chariot

And yes Chariots now get locked in combat

No to phylactery. That only restores wounds, not hull points

but you reanimate wounds not hull points so it doesnt effect the CCB

Ok, so does the vehicle befit from phylactery as well as the overlord, so it come back with D3 hull points? Or is that hoping too much?

This would be interesting with Zandrekh. Has anybody ever tried this? Give it Hit and Run and do HoW over and over again. And sweep attacks.

Except for the rule in the chariot section specificaly stating that it can use the riders re-animation protocols.
