I based mine but it just feels really unwielding when it comes to transportation, anyone have any tips on how to keep them on the base and balanced?

Thanks

While transporting? depends on the case

Its probably best on it side in foam or use metal and magnet to keep it from jostling around

Superglue money to the bottom. One and two penny coins work the best.

nickles fit pretty well on the bottoms. course you could just use the spure you clipped it off of, to fill out the base.

I had a tippy-zagstruk, cut his bit of basing off the base, changed the angle a little, and wedged some stuff under em, and now its actually fairly hard to tip em.

Some sprue wreckage/ rubble to the left/right, and boom...balanced base.

Only way this guys falling over, is if his base gets tipped way more then a 45 degree angle off the board.

I just melted down a bullet to balance my 3rd edition metal Zoanthrope. Going to turn it into a rock or something when it gets time to paint it.

I filled my bases with lead shot. The Venomthropes are still top heavy as they are the metal version. I transport them laid on their sides.

Yepp, filling the base with something dense and heavy usually helps. If not skilled/willing to risk with molten metal, you can go to your nearest hardware store and buy the greenstuff-like quick fix putty thing that's sometimes used to patch up leaky plumbing. When mixed properly and squeezed it gets compressed and fairly dense while still weighting a bit. A magnet is a great idea too, as you can just transport them on a steel sheet later - you can put it on the bottom of a box or carry bag and they'll stick vertically mighty fine.

I use pennies right now, mostly because that's the only real use they have now a days. I'm really tempted to take the ones I have and totally not melt them down to make couterweights for my CSM raptors as well as my zoanthropes, venomthropes and heavy weapon warriors. Nope. I do not condone such action, as it is a felony to deface US currency. Never even think about firing up my crucible to do this. never.

Glue coins to the underside. Nickels or Quarters for 25 MM bases, Quarters and larger for 40MM
