Ok so I stun a Rhino and I tell him he has to make a leadership test to see if the unit inside has to snap fire. He says units inside transports have the fearless rule and he doesn't have to make leadership tests b/c he auto passes.
So is the book saying you have to make a leadership test on the unit inside that has fearless and will auto pass just for nothing?
Am I missing something?

Yes. Re-read what Fearless does. Here is a hint, it is not auto-pass Leadership tests.

A Morale test is not a Leadership test

Fearless
Units containing one or more models with the Fearless special rule automatically pass Pinning, Fear, Regroup tests and Morale checks, but cannot Go to Ground and cannot choose to fail a Morale check due to the Our Weapons Are Useless rule (pg 53). If a unit has Gone to Ground and then gains the Fearless special rule, all the effects of Go to Ground are immediately canceled.

I suppose a leadership test is like a Toughness test actually. And in that way it is easier to make sense of. Sort of wish the stat was called something else like Willpower so it was less confusing with english wording and grammar clouding its meaning.

Yes, there is such a thing as a Leadership test. It is not difficult to discern between the two, as there is a whole section on Morale tests...

There is such a thing as a Leadership test.
Dominate makes the unit pass a Leadership test to be able to do anything while the psychic power is in effect.
