I used one of these as a nuclear power station cooling tower cluster in a 15mm game of Laserburn.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

Hmmm dang i dont have pictures of it but

i used a formed paper packaging for a kindle fire and cut it up into a small open emplacement thing.

Also one thing id like to get are plastic junction boxes as they are cheap and look relatively cool.

We used to have great fun at primary school battling over a castle that was literally the packaging from a dyson laid on its side.

While it's not terrain, I found some GREAT weathering rust in the bottom of my hot water heater when replacing the thermocouple. Of course it's just part of the heating element... nothing "important"... We hope...

I'm sure this will rub many people the wrong way, but I see absolutely no point in throwing crap on a gaming table. I guess when you see hordes and hordes of gray plastic on the table, the terrain doesn't really matter. But with GWs ridiculous prices, average ruleset, and unbalanced armies, the main thing the models have going for them is the aesthetics. If you don't play with painted models and nice terrain, what's the point? It was one of the things that made me leave 40K many years ago. Coming back with a group of friends, we only play with painted models/terrain, and it makes the experience so much more rewarding. It doesn't take that long to work a little bit at a time.

eh, terrain can get bland. new stuff on the table is fun. I've never had so much fun with measly cardboard boxes like i do with warhammer since i was making forts out of them as a kid. plus, i don't have room for a 4x6 or 4x8 table. I put the fold out table next to my living room table, and put the plank of wood across.

I do agree though, And i like all my models painted and even get pissed at my friends who don't paint them (i've even bought them paint and they don't do it...even when sleeping on my couch), so i enjoy going down to the gaming store and playing on their tables. but at home with roommates, i just don't have any place to store the terrain.

If anyone remembers the Imaginext kits, they were like bigger lego sets where you got big well-crafted pieces of buildings and floors and you made custom towers for the heroes and villains you got in the box set to play with.

Recently, I found all of those kits that I had when I was little and I have found they have made the best playing pieces ever. With them I have built necropolis', sprawling towers and just some ruined masonry. If you're looking for something cheap and fun to play with with no assembly required, I would recommend trying to find this stuff on Ebay.
