As the thread below is locked, can't answer there...

Cyanide the makers of the blood bowl computer game now host the rulebook after GW took it down.

http://www.bloodbowl-game.com/files/BB_LRB6.pdf

In fact they host the rulebook with all the background in it that GW never released!

Unsurprising as otherwise they would be selling a game that no-one could read the rules for...

Huh. It has the Slann in it, but not Khorne.

The khorne team was made by Cyanide for Bloodbowl: Chaos Edition, it wasn't a part of the LRB6 but the Slann team was but it's not in Chaos Edition (Hopefully it'll at some point end up in BB2 along with those shiny new Brettonians)

Apparently GW said no to Slann. Despite BB not being WFB, the old frog slann were a not WFB too far...

Yeah. I just find it odd, since it is Cyanide that is hosting the PDF (I mean, it isn't that hard to alter a PDF- they could easily have swapped out the two entries).

I haven't been playing Cyanide's Blood Bowl- are they actually going to put in a Brettonian team? And which one did they land on?

Last I heard they're developing Bloodbowl 2 which like last time will only have 8 teams on release (Human, Orcs, Dwarves, High Elves, Skaven, Chaos, Dark Elf & Brettonians) and they haven't yet decided how to release the other factions (DLC, in game store or expansions) as well as focusing on eSport elements

I think for a team to be added into the core LRB it must be approved by the NAF or some secret council of blood bowl gods.

i remember reading something saying that slann, underworld and chaos pact all went through a fair bit of play testing to make it in. But the Khorn team was made purely for the PC game. This is the first i had heard of a Bret team which while neat I think just converting up a human team would work better. Maybe convert up a green knight to be the ogre.

Also i cant see the khorn team being very good with all that frenzy and no block.

The Khorne team can be scary in the right hands, while Frenzy in of itself can be risky the daemons are great value and they easily have the best Big guy in the Bloodthirster as well as non-cultists having regeneration and access to an apothecary. They generally need some skills but once they're there they can be a very effective team
